Nah it wasn't to end the game. Howard should have struck out in the first inning, next pitch was right down the middle and Howard hit it 900 feet to center for a 3 run bomb. The real bad one came much later in the game on fucking Victorino of all people. Literally a perfect pitch for strike 3 was called a ball, McCann caught it and instantly started running toward the dugout. Next pitch was lined into center and scored the tying run after the Braves had just taken the lead. Rookie umpire was behind the plate and he often had the old deer in the headlights look. Still shouldn't have been a game, Braves left 10 men on base, NINE of them in scoring position. They were horrible last night getting guys in, after they have been leading the league in that category all year.
