I didn't see this posted...and was wondering if anyone had any insight as to what the hell went on in this play?

Looks like someone threw the towel in early...

Yeah... this is pretty classic... normally you see guys moving on film just not hitting anybody... I've seen film where a guy has done that 2 or 3 or even 4 plays in a row...

Zebrie Sanders is the lineman in the video. . . I think he went to Northmont in Dayton!

It looks like the FSU lineman are taught to stay still if the defensive line jumps the snap. . . I think with the crowd noise they can't hear a whistle to know the play is still going on. . . this just seems so ridiculous. You would think he would get up and try to do something, even if he couldn't see what was happening behind him, just by watching how the linebackers are reacting.

It looks to me like the center snapped the ball early, and everyone else held still so as not to be drawn offsides.

FSU has been going this all season. Anytime the opposing defense jumps offsides the center snaps the ball for the free play and the linemen stay at the line of scrimmage. There was a youtube of it from the UNC game earlier in the year but I can't find it now. If you watch the clip you see the right guard is torn between staying at the line or hitting someone.

At what point do you use the brain in your head and realize that YOU aren't going to be called for offsides if there is one called, seeing as how there's a PLAY going on all around you, and your QB is running for his life, because you didn't block anybody. Good way for FSU to get their QB killed if you ask me.
