The game has changed in the last 50 years or so. Back in the day, people would root for their hometown/state teams because they were the only ones they could see in person or watch on tv. Now with ESPN and the internet people can see any team/player they want so they pick their rooting interest based on uniforms and things like that.

Me, I'm old school. Grew up in Youngstown and I'm a Cleveland/Columbus fan.
