It's because the people that drink Coors Light are too stupid to be able to figure out if a drink is cold by feeling it. They need a visual confirmation that their beverage is cold.Commander of Awesome;967024 wrote:Must be why Coors Light has the cold gauge on the bottle.

Yeah, but how will they know the difference between cold and super cold?I Wear Pants;967051 wrote:It's because the people that drink Coors Light are too stupid to be able to figure out if a drink is cold by feeling it. They need a visual confirmation that their beverage is cold.

I believe Coors is releasing a meter that can tell from sight for their customers. Similar to the marketing campaign that spawned the Grooler.justincredible;967052 wrote:Yeah, but how will they know the difference between cold and super cold?

The red ale tastes better this time around. I don't think it's great, but not bad for my first brew. I'll bring some for the tailgate, anyone that is there can let me know what they think. There is just something a little off with it.

How long did it take you to cool the wort and did you use irish moss or something like KC finings? Maybe it's just the picture but it looks a bit cloudy is why I ask.justincredible;967209 wrote:

It took a while to get the wort down to pitching temps, and I didn't put it in secondary so I'm not surprised it isn't clear.

And the beer was actually pretty good once I drank a little more of it.

Faster you can cool it the better as it helps with the clarity and if you aren't going to do a secondary I'd at least use irish moss or finings as they help with that a lot.justincredible;967349 wrote:It took a while to get the wort down to pitching temps, and I didn't put it in secondary so I'm not surprised it isn't clear.

Yeah, it was my first batch. I've been putting off my second batch because I want to be able to do it right.

I'm trying to find a good deal on a worth chiller before I make my next batch. Which will be a pumpkin ale that I'll bottle and save most for next year.

Anybody ever have Pliny the elder? I hear it's one of those beers that you must have before you die. Also heard it's near impossible to get it.
