Had an expedition stout tonight. MUCH better than fresh, all that bitter smoky trucker coffee was gone and smooth, creamy balance restored.

So if it wasn't fresh, how long was it aged ?Commander of Awesome;1602882 wrote:Had an expedition stout tonight. MUCH better than fresh, all that bitter smoky trucker coffee was gone and smooth, creamy balance restored.
I highly recommend the Clown Shoes Luchador En Fuego. It's basically a chocolate stout with some heat. Just enough heat to make it interesting. Loved it.

6 months. Had it relatively fresh in late oct and the bitter/smokeyness was a bit much for me. It's really mellowed out.Curly J;1602975 wrote:So if it wasn't fresh, how long was it aged ?

I've been diggin on the Clown Shoes as of late. The unidragon is awesome as well as the Hoppy Feet and the Hoppy feet 1.5.
I'll have to find the En Fuego. I have drank nothing from Clown Shoes that made me go Meh....

Talked to a guy at the beer store last night (IN) and he said "they were all out of KBS." My heart about stopped, as I didn't know they were ones who ever carried it. I said, "Yeah, I've heard that stuff never even hits the floor." He said it never did. Said, "That's the perks of working part time at a beer store!"

I mean I drink beer. But I don't get into beer. For the most part I drink bud light. But I had chillwave at a bar the other night and it was delicious.ernest_t_bass;1603308 wrote:Wine coolers?

You live Chicago and drink Bud Light? Start with Boulevard, move on to Revolution, then order nothing but 3Floyds. Your Welcome.

Couldn't care less about beer taste. Just want something to get me drunk. And I've had all of those beers you mentioned. Matter a fact I'm drinking a revolution a little crazy right now.Sonofanump;1603387 wrote:You live Chicago and drink Bud Light? If that's what you want, look for a Baltika #9 "Extra Lager." For the price, it packs a punch. Don't have to deal with the awful taste of malt liquor, but you don't have to pay the price of a craft beer.SportsAndLady;1603411 wrote:Couldn't care less about beer taste. I like the drunj too. But you can drink a sixer of great craft and get a really nice drunj, or drink 12 shitty american macro beers, and get drunj and feel a lot shittier.SportsAndLady;1603411 wrote:Couldn't care less about beer taste. My beer rep buddy said Ohio should be getting 15-packs of Founders All Day IPA cans probably next week to replace the 12 packs. Same price (19.99). If you've never had it, I think its the best session IPA, and if you're looking for a canned beer to bring to a pool, to the beach, or on a boat or something, its perfect.
Also, Oberon cans come out next week too I think he said.
