Might be, but if that was the case, they they would make CBS more often.ernest_t_bass;1597829 wrote:Sucks. Why doesn't Founders make more KBS, bc of the hype?

Had the new Stone IRS tonight. Awesome as usual, bit of an alcohol burn which I enjoyed thoroughly. Would bang again.

Pretty diverse weekend for me. Mission Brewery IPA, New Belgium Rampant IPA, Stone Go To, White Rajah, Deschutes Inversion, DF 60 min. Didn't get to my Stone 4/20. Will do so sometime this week or this weekend.

I was slightly disappointed with the 4.20.14. It just wasn't as good as previous versions. Maybe it's the hops that they used. I know of one person that said on Untappd that they tasted green onions. It was funny because I was talking to some one else not 10 minutes after reading that comment and they said they tasted carmalized onions in it.ernest_t_bass;1597066 wrote:Like cherry stout better than java. 4/20/14 is outstanding.
I totally agree. Lots of alcohol burn. This would be a good one to age and see if/when it calms down. I still have a 2007 IRS and at least one 2008 sitting back. I gave away a 2007 IRS and a 2007 Barley Wine to a freind of mine at Jungle Jim's. It was his last day of work there and I wanted to thank him for keeping me informed on what came in.Commander of Awesome;1598957 wrote:Had the new Stone IRS tonight. What breweries have been you seen playing pranks for April Fools Day ?
Triple Digit (Local) announced they will be retiring Chickow, never to brew it again. (It's their best and top selling beer)
MadTree (Local) displayed a picture of their Axis Mundi in a can with the top sealed in wax saying 'Coming Soon'.

Oh ETB...I hope that was tongue in cheek because InBev owns Goose Island, via AB buying them out years ago.ernest_t_bass;1599644 wrote:Goose Island Urban Pale Ale again. Fuck InBev, Mostly bc fuck InBev, but I really like the taste of this.

I drank a Mad Tree "Dream Machine" IPL last night. I like a good Lager ( that's right, fuck you Inbev" I said good ) and I thought I'd give this a whirl.
This is a dry hopped beer, so right up front it was piney on the nose. It kind of smacks you in the face up front with the hops (good ) but is then overwhelming with the malt and not very well balanced overall, Then fades quickly away after a couple seconds,
A great concept that I would hope that someone perfects to my taste. Over all I'd give it a 3 out of 5

Well someone brought it to my tasting group last night. Mediocre. As it warmed it was hard to drink, super sugary. Not a ton of barrel character either, should have gone full barrel aged. He paid $18 for it, id recommend staying away at that price.Commander of Awesome;1597413 wrote:With deschutes now in Ohio, anyone see/try Mirror Mirror yet?
