At this point, you might as well just have mentioned the beer.queencitybuckeye;1560731 wrote:Opinions are serious business. There is certainly a distinction between taste and observing quality. There are quality beers I don't like. I can recognize that they're well-done, even if they aren't my bag of tea. You can also like something while recognizing that it's probably garbage (I'm this way with a lot of movies).

Agree, I can recognize the objective aspects of a lot of things (almost certainly less so than many posters on this thread when it comes to beer) that I don't care for on a subjective level. Funny that sometimes people will get offended by a totally subbjective opinion. If one says they didn't like a movie as much as some others did, some of the feedback of that opinion gets so enthusiastic, you'd think the person wrote the damn script or something.O-Trap;1561049 wrote:At this point, you might as well just have mentioned the beer.

They just started selling this at the local gas station up town.
Not bad at all. Pretty darn good. A not-so over powering ale.

If I wouldn't try it because of fuck InBev, then I'd be a hypocrite, as I still do drink the Nightstalker when I can find it.
Never actually had Red Hook, though.

"With a 'good color' and a 'mild, watery, college taste,' Natural Light was 'perfectly acceptably flavorless' to our panel. They recommend it as a good beer for summer and outside parties."
I just laughed my ass off at that. Obviously seems like a parody, but hilarious.

Everybody here says "meh" to a beer someone else here likes, it's no big deal. Feel free to offer your opinion, but maybe state why. I've passed on beers but also picked up beers because of what people have posted on here. And while I do like BORIS, I just think it's a cool name too.queencitybuckeye;1560731 wrote:Opinions are serious business. My wife said that, for her resolution, she was going to take me to at least one beer tasting event this year.

EDIT: Speaking of, anyone know of any good beer places in Las Vegas? Stores? What are the laws there?

...I had a glass of (Delerium Tremens--8.5%apv) on New Years Eve and thought it was very good. It's a strong Belgian Ale that went down very smooth and plan on having more tonight. Anyone else tried this?
