Good to hear. I have one (11-11-11) that I've been waiting since last year to try. Waiting til new years to open it.O-Trap;1342536 wrote:Tonight, I enjoyed an Epic Vertical 11.11.11 this evening. "Epic" is the perfect name for this. So complex. Fruit taste on the front end, but I honestly can't figure out what fruit (maybe figs?). Some spicy pepper hints on the back end. Consistency was comparable to a barleywine or a thicker Imperial IPA. It was great.
I'm now finishing off the last two Old Mans (Men?) I got earlier this week. Very solid winter ale.

I have to dig in my stash to find my Vertical Epic series. I believe I have them from 06-06-06 up 12-12-12. If/When I split them with The Wife that's a nice 7 beers each to drink in one night. It's doable...

Just got a BCBS and a Hair of the Dog Doggie Claw in a trade. All I had to trade was a Stone IRS which I had 6 of and can still pick up at the local bottle shop. Good morning.

Had to look them up, do they sell in Ohio or do you have to go to the brewhouse in FTW?ernest_t_bass;1342650 wrote:Going to have some Mad Anthony drafts tonight.

There are two restaurants that I know of, and that is the only place I've ever had them. I know that they sell the beer at their restaurants, but not sure about markets.Sonofanump;1342670 wrote:Had to look them up, do they sell in Ohio or do you have to go to the brewhouse in FTW?

From their site:Sonofanump;1342670 wrote:Had to look them up, do they sell in Ohio or do you have to go to the brewhouse in FTW?
Get Mad Brew at your local pub! Mad Anthony beer is available in bottles, either from our perfectly chilled fridge or from your local purveyor of alcoholic beverages. If it's on tap then buy a growler full, and take it home that way. It doesn't get any fresher than by the growler.
Mad Anthony ales and lagers are not confined to just our brewpub and restaurant. Distribution has taken Mad Anthony into over 70 locations in Ft. Wayne and surrounding cities such as Angola, Warsaw, and Auburn. Mad Anthony Brewery has added an additional 15bbl. brew house and brewery to accommodate it's growing number of accounts. The expansion has allowed Mad Anthony to distribute it's beer throughout the state of Indiana. By the bottle, growler, case, and keg it's coming to a restaurant, pub, or liquor store near you. If you are a retailer and interested in carrying Mad Anthony beers please contact Blaine Stuckey at or call (260) 426-ALES.

Just picked up a bottle of Jolly Pumpkin De Viento and Stone/Evil Twin/Stillwater "The Perfect Crime". Both black saisons, should be interesting to try them together.

You know I will. Might even have it tonight.
Currently having my second Rivertown Death. A RIS brewed with Jolokia Peppers. Doesn't feel real heavy like most RIS feel. Maybe it's due to the unique finish of heat and spiciness. Lots of heat in the back of my throat like cayenne peppers. I'm digging it.
(There. I lobbed a big softball at you all to come back at me with that throat comment)

Ok. Just had the Old Raspy XV, barrel aged. Freaking good. Little heavy 'Bourbonish', but I'm digging it. Doesn't really taste like the Old Raspy, but no Stout does with Bourbon. I'll have to buy more tomorrow.

Drinking Jolly Pumpkin de Viento now. Has a nice coffee flavor; could be a bit more tart but overall a very good beer. Easily the best sour coffee saison I've ever had.

Goose Island Christmas Ale - good not great. It's got a weird smokey/porterish taste and definintely not as sweet as GLBC or 12 dogs

Drinking "The Perfect Crime" now. Pretty disappointed, this beer is kind of a mess.

Had the Frosted Frog the other night. WAY too sweet and spiced, but had a nice finish. Probably won't buy it again, but I'm glad I got it at least once.
