Was just about to ask the same about Knoxville. Going to be at a comedy festival there this weekend.

Bought a Krampus today. Currently chilling. Drinking a Maumee Bay Christmas Ale right now. Bad after taste. Like fermented cherries or something.

Krampus... what do you guys think?

To me, piney. Good, but not the heavy spices I like in a christmas beer. I'll continue to sip and reanalyze.

Charlotte's got a cool brewery scene popping up with 6-7 breweries opened in the past 2 years. One of them is releasing a beer today they made with food grade scorpions.

Unknown does some weird things for small batch Sunday's to live up to their name.

I know it's too late but if you ever go back hit up the Yazoo Brewery. They have some great stuff and they do daily tours.

Just had Born Yesterday by Lagunitas this evening. Pretty damn good IMO. Nice Fresh Hop Ale (usually not a fan, celebration being the exception). Worth checking out if you see it around.

Had some Goose Island holiday beer (I know, fuck InBev). Wasn't too bad.

Definitely liking it more than GLBC Christmas Ale this year. I know Fuck InBev, but try the Festivity. It's good. You ever have Fireside Chat? Probably my favorite beer for this time of year.

No, I've got beef with 21st Amendment. They try and push being a SF brewery, yet they actually brew in Minnesota, just have a pub in SF. False advertising, plus I can't ever find their beers less than 6 months old, which is too old for an IPA. Annoying that I can find their beers fresher in Ohio than in SF, when they claim to be an SF brewery.

I did not know this. I've been to their pub in SF. I've enjoyed every beer of theirs I've tried, had no idea it wasn't brewed in CA.

Yup, "21st Amendment's retail beers are brewed and canned in Cold Spring, Minnesota for cost reasons. "

I've had limited exposure to them (just always seems to be something better on the menu). I get the beef. Is the beer at least good (overall, not just the 6+-month-old IPAs)?

21st Amendment Fireside Chat is very good. Only if they distributed in Illinois.

Looking forward to these tonight: CoCoNut is fabulous, the Pumpkin is tasty, and Death is a ghost chili porter homebrew that was a bit overzealous in the pepper department. To quote Ron Burgundy "It stings the nostrils". Still tasty but have to wash your hands after handling the beer or you'll burn the hell out of your eyes.

GLBC Christmas ale, not what it used to be.

Bison gingerbread Porter, blah. No spice and I'm not a big Porter fan.

The Brew Kettle Winter Warmer, did like this. Pretty nice.

Bison is brewed Bay Area, close to me. Their beer is wretched.

He lives!

How've you been IWP? I haven't seen you on here in a bit.

And thank you for the head's up on the pepper porter. I do actually like porters, so I may have to keep an eye out for this.
