Edmund Fitzgerald is a pretty damn solid porter.Mooney44Cards;1543149 wrote:Commodore Perry is a pretty shitty IPA. It's also a pretty weak offering from GLBC. Dortmunder Gold is probably the only year round from them that is worthwhile. Most of their seasonals are decent to great though.
I tend to agree. Never was a fan of the Commodore Perry. I did have their Blackout Stout at a Great Lakes tasting a month or so ago and it was solid.Mooney44Cards;1543149 wrote:Commodore Perry is a pretty shitty IPA. Blackout stout is top 5 for me as far as stouts. In any order its probably:Curly J;1543398 wrote:I tend to agree. Never was a fan of the Commodore Perry. I did have their Blackout Stout at a Great Lakes tasting a month or so ago and it was solid.
I never HATED Commodore Perry, but it is completely unimpressive as an IPA.Curly J;1543398 wrote:I tend to agree. Never was a fan of the Commodore Perry. I did have their Blackout Stout at a Great Lakes tasting a month or so ago and it was solid.
I've still never had the Speedway. Haven't seen it.Mooney44Cards;1543495 wrote:Blackout stout is top 5 for me as far as stouts. In any order its probably:

I have one aging for me, informed I am not allowed to drink it for 12 months from last May.gorocks99;1543564 wrote: Three Floyds Dark Lord
Had a 2009 the other day. 'Twas good.Sonofanump;1543668 wrote:I have one aging for me, informed I am not allowed to drink it for 12 months from last May.
Commander of Awesome;1543680 wrote:Where the hell are you guys finding Dark Lord?
Pliny the Younger they don't bottle, so you have to get it on tap in Feb in the Bay Area, Philly, or Denver. I've had it, nothing special over other Triple IPAs IMO. CBS I think they only brewed once, so we'll probably never be able to get it.Sonofanump;1543714 wrote:I suppose it is one of the hardest beers to get, but easier than Pliny Younger/Westy12/Founder's CBS?
Agreed!vdubb96;1543694 wrote:Dark Lord is one 3f's I've never been able to get. Hook it up!!!
I actually prefer regular Blackout. Though I still have a few BA Blackouts available for tradeCommander of Awesome;1543507 wrote:Regular or BA version Mooney?
I politely disagree about the KBS or BS. Imperial Stout is great as well though.Mooney44Cards;1543781 wrote:I actually prefer regular Blackout. Though I still have a few BA Blackouts available for trade
And I can't believe this many people actually like KBS. That's one of the most overrated beers I've ever tasted. Same with Breakfast Stout. Founders Imperial Stout is wayyyy better than KBS or BS.
O-Trap, where are you at that you can't find Speedway? I can try and get some to you.
Ten Fidy and Heady topper for me.Mooney44Cards;1543781 wrote:That's one of the most overrated beers I've ever tasted.

I assume it's sold around here (Akron, OH). Just for the life of me, I've never seen it.Mooney44Cards;1543781 wrote:O-Trap, where are you at that you can't find Speedway? I can try and get some to you.
