Tart of Darkness. Wow! What a wonderful sour Stout. Expensive, but worth it if you are a sour fan.

You know I finally heard the story behind this since my buddy works for the company that distributes Lagunitas in Ohio.

The story I heard is the same as yours, except I heard the owner was actually in Ohio for the launch.

Since I'm not on here that often, its impossible to keep up with this thread, but has anyone mentioned how Merry Maker (formerly Merry Mischief) from Samuel Adams is absolutely delicious, one of the best Christmas beers, and easily the tastiest beer they brew?

Anybody ever had a Fuller's Vintage Limited? Only brewed once a year in late October, 12% alcohol / 16oz bottle. $78 for 12. Bought a case over the weekend and will enjoyed after the Buckeye's slaughter scUM on Saturday.

That would make more since with the owner being in Ohio for the launch.

I don't believe I've even seen it this year. Will have to check The Jungle on Wednesday when they have their Zombie Dust Pint Nite.

I'll have to look for this. I'm usually never over in the English section unless I'm looking for a specific beer.

Yeah I had one a month or so ago and was really surprised. I tried to get a few more but they're sold out. Now the only way to get it is a buy a pack of bombers with the Griffin's Bow (terrible) and a Baltic IPA.

I've probably only ever had like 2 or 3 other gingerbread stouts, but Merry Maker blew them all out of the water.

Lot of win in that pick up. I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer 60 min to to the 90 min IPA.

I used to like the 90 better, but I find myself drinking the 60 more and more when I can find it.

Decent grab. The only ones I would have passed on are the ones that start with G. Not a fan of the GLBC and I gave up GI because Fuck InBev.

Commodore Perry is a pretty shitty IPA. It's also a pretty weak offering from GLBC. Dortmunder Gold is probably the only year round from them that is worthwhile. Most of their seasonals are decent to great though.

Yeah, I love Dortmunder. I couldn't remember if I had ever had Commodore Perry, so I picked it up.

I still drink their Nightstalker when I can find it, even though fuck AB InBev.

Eh, I think their Edmund Fitzgerald is a solid porter, and it's year-round.

However, I think you're right about the seasonal stuff, and it almost seems indisputable that it's their strong suit.
