Yeah, that's going in the fridge immediately and will be cracking a few Sunday.

Saint Somewhere seems to be a similar brewery to Jolly Pumpkin from what I checked out, so I might drink one now and put the other on the shelf.

Had one of these last night at the GL tasting. Was impressed with the Eliot Ness and I'm not a lager fan. Their Stout was also great. Was kinda disappointed in the dry hopped Nosferatu. Had a great nose, but didn't taste as good as the regular. Carbonation was different since it was a firkin.

I'm not enough of a beer snob to tell a large difference between the EN and BR.

(edit) usually it's either/or at the grocery store. Both are good brews easily found.

Funny. But really isn't accurate, at least not anymore. I'd argue the US has the best beer industry in the world. There's simply a shitload of awesome brewers making all kinds of different styles.

Drinking my first Jai Alai now. I generally have really high expectations for hyped up beers and end up being let down, but Jai Alai is better than I expected it to be. It's 7.5 abv hop bomb that manages to be complex at the same time. Sweet, citrusy, and tropical with a big hop finish. If I had access to it Id buy it all the time.

That's pretty awesome, can't wait to try some HF beers after everything I've read about them.

On my 3rd Jai Alai now; I was hoping to space them out for at least a little bit but I think the entire 6 pack will be gone tonight.

Went to Rivertown Brewing last night. Every Wednesday this month they are featuring Small batches of homebrews from different people.

Last night they featured 3 beers from a woman that bartends there. A Belgian Blonde with basil and lemongrass. I'm usually not a Belgian blond fan as they are too heavy with corriander, but this one was great. A couple of people wanted to take home growlers of it, but they wouldn't allow it since it's only a 5 gallon batch. Nice basil on the nose and across the palate with a lemongrass finish. Sounds like this beer will be produced by another local brewery. (Blank Slate)

A stout with Buckwheat honey and maple syrup. Decent. There was some smokiness going on in this beer and it wasn't real sweet.

My favorite was the Goze style beer. Gozer the Destroyer. This was a sour beer with salt. I LOVED IT !!! Had 2 pints of this after the flight samples. Hard to describe as there is sournesss, but it has a salty finish that almost makes a sweetness that comes through at the end. I know weird way to describe it. Only 5% abv so you could have quite a few of them.
