Apparently, Southern Tier brought out the Creme Brulee Stout. Had one tonight.

May again tomorrow. So good.

Not as sweet a taste as years past, but just as sweet on the nose. I actually like it more!

Sounds nice. I just looked at a bottle of it, but passed. Ended up getting a Samuel Smith's Yorkshire Stingo and a Three Floyd's Apocalypse Cow. I did notice that this years ST Choklat was not as sweet as in years past. This years seemed more like Dark chocolate as compaired to Milk chocolate.

The following tap rooms open at 12pm. Rivertown (Lockland), Mt Carmel (Extreme Eastside), MadTree (Northeast of Downtown), 50West (Mariemont), and Rhinegeist (Over the Rhine)Triple Digit/Listermans opens at 10am. It's near Xavier University. There is a Moerlein House and Yard House on the Banks in downtown. They both open at 11am and have local beers. Arthurs is downtown also and has all local beers on tap.Not sure where you are staying so you may want to check their websites to see how close to where you will be.

I recommend giving it a try next time. It's still rich, but the extreme sweetness from last year's batch is much more subtle. It really lets the other flavors come out.

It was fun. You'll have to make it back and we can hit a different brewery next time. Yep I still got the sour in my mouth too. Makes me want to have the Lambic I have in the fridge... or a Burger Beer as a palate cleanser.

Just got back from The Jungle buying beer. The highlight of the day, not including meeting vdubb...

...I was in the beer section which is right next to their award winning restrooms. They have a Port A Let as an entrance which everyone assumes that is what their restrooms are, until they open the door and see the real restrooms...anywho. I'm there and had to fart. So I let her rip and do some 'crop dusting'. Some couple walked by and the Dude said, "Look they have Port A Let's for restrooms". She said, "I know. I can smell it"...The Wife about lost it and held in her laughter so hard it hurt her ribs. Score one for Curly J !!!

Speaking of scoring, a little run down of my bomber purchase.

Innis & Gunn Canadian Cherrywood Aged Ale. (never had it)
Ballast Point Sea Monster Imperial Stout. (never had it)
Weyerbacher Virdis Lupulus. (never had it)
Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Stout in Wild Turkey barrels. (had this back in Janurary)
Southern Tier Creme Brûlée. ( never had THIS years)

They are all chilling in the fridge together. Don't think they will last the weekend.
