That will happen too. Had a great time there last night. Brought home a growler of their Roebling Porter and downed it with The Wife. I did follow it with a Lake Erie Monster. The Erie Monster tasted better than before. Maybe due to the sweetness of the Roebling made the hops more pronounced... maybe I'm still drunj, maybe not.

After this year I tend to agree. A few months ago it was the opposite. What a different a year makes when it comes to beer.

I can say they make some awesome beers, but some other breweries might make better styles. Basically I love the Stone RIS, but I believe AleSmith Speedway Stout is better...

As I typed that I am having a Speedway Stout. Just finished a Rivertown Lambic, awesome uber sour beer. Went right to the Speedway and WOW I'm tasting so much more chocolate that I've never noticed before in this beer. Usually it was about the coffee for me but I'm now enjoying it in a different way.

I've had both this year and you may be right. Both are great but the Alchemy I had in June was top notch.

Cool. There are several breweries to hit up down here. (MadTree, Mt Carmel, 50West, Rhinegeist just to mention a few) Keep in touch as I'd like to meet up with you. Rivertown is only about 10-15 minutes away from me.

Downtown area there is the Moerlein House. It's on The Banks, by the river. Rock Bottom is downtown by Fountain Square. Most of the local brews are on the outskirts of downtown. Closest in that area is Rhinegeist. It just opened lately in Over The Rhine. (was and still a rough area in Cincy). They are brewing some West Coast styled beers. Their Truth is supposed to be pretty great.

They have a Yard House on The Banks which has lots of beers and have some local beers on tap, well 10 or so from what I heard. Arnold's is downtown and has all local beers on tap.

Burger Beer FTW or is it WTF? It's locally owned and used to be a huge beer in this area years ago. Mr Greg Hardman bought the name back and started having it brewed again. The same Mr. Hardman that brought back Christian Moerlein and Hudepohl, local beers. It was only $6.99 a twelve pack which allowed me to drop $24.00 for another 4 pack of Wulver. Oh I did grab some Brooklyn Monster, cause once Monster is gone, it's gone forever.

Drinking a Parabola, oooo man it's hard to imagine a beer getting much better than this. Like drinking an oatmeal choc chip cookie with a nice bourbon burn. Really fucking good.

That sounds freakin' aweaome!!! Lucky you and here's where I should call you a name.

I moved on to The Wulver, to make up for my Burger Beer earlier. Bottle number 3 going down. I did share 2 bottles with The Wife earlier.
