That's funny, cuz just last night someone was talking about how easy that run was for Duke...so you are wrong, as there was at least 1 person who remembered how easy their run was.

Although, the caveat to her putting on some lbs in the trunk, her boobs seem to get bigger as well which may just make Lifetime Network worth watching.

Yes, the last time they gave up 90+...anyway, wouldn't mentioning a two year span of having not done so be more of a testament to Duke's overall defensive game?

Yeah I think so.

Geesh...

I really didn't see the stat that CBS flashed, had Duke not given up more than 90 in two years? I honestly thought you were suggesting that Duke's defense was inferior. Forgive my not understanding your post. Had I saw the stat it would have avoided the mindless banter.

Regarding the stat, it is a bit surprising I had figured Villanova in the tournament, or maybe GTown last year got there. I certainly do remember the Devils giving up a 101 burger to Carolina at Cameron a couple years back. That one hurt.

Because of their tempo last year they wouldn't really allow a team enough possessions to get to 90 points (unless they were over 1.70 points per possession or something crazy). This year, they don't drag it out as much.....yet. Mace or Miles could end up having to play a Zoubek role after this performance.

Syracuse loses 4 in a row and the thread has 9 replies in 5 days.

Duke loses their 2nd game in the last 31 and it has 50 replies in 2 hours

Sounds about right.

One of the bartenders at my local watering hole is a Cuse fan. He has washed his hands of the Orange, I tell him to hang in there. It will make it that much more enjoyable if they make a run in March.

Its a shame they can't reincarnate Gerry Mac or Johnny Flynn to run the show this year

No I mean you literally are wrong. You said no one remembers how easy the run was, when I literally just had a conversation with someone who brought it up.

It has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing lol

I'm not worried about chants proclaiming the overestimation of a team, but, after the homicide scene that happened inside MSG today, I do find it rather diverting that a UNC fan would even comment. Since Duke's last national championship game win on April 4, 2010, the Tar Heels have had their "asses handed to them" 22 times and participated in five National Invitation Tournament contests. Duke has not lost 22 times in totality since the 15th of March 2007 and last enjoyed the pleasure of an NIT game the year before Roger Federer, arguably the greatest professional tennis player of all-time, was birthed.

As for all the loud and confused noise emanating from certain Ohio State fans, poor form. I know I for one, if I were a member of the Buckeye basketball contingency, would consider my options at least a second time before delivering smack talk. This is especially true considering that by supporting the Basketball Buckeyes that would mean my favorite team would also not have cut down a championship net in the span of time since Willis Reed began playing professional basketball.

Thank God that's settled then.

Congrats to St. Johns and Coach Lavin for executing a great game plan. The quickness and ball handling of St. John's bigs gave the duke big men all sorts of problems and led to some easy baskets. duke helped St. John's by having an off day from behind the arc, but shit happens. This is a big win for the Big East and a huge black eye for the ACC.
You said no one remembers how easy the run was,

Watched the game for awhile and Duke just got worked out pretty good in all areas.

Not sure if its a total statement since I haven't watched many Duke games, but the team lived or died by the 3 ball today and they weren't hitting in the 1st half.

They've got more issues than just PG. And that bartender is too easily discouraged. If they're his squad....4 L's in a row shouldn't change that. How'd he make it through the back-to-back NIT seasons a few years ago?

Bababooey-Well, it's pretty simple.....Syracuse isn't Duke. Even as an Orange fan I can admit that they're not on the same level as Duke. Defending national champ/Duke losing their 2nd game is bigger news than top 10 (til tomorrow) Syracuse's 4 losses in a row.

99% of Duke fans are bandwagons. Seriously, if Duke was terrible they'd have 5 fans. I love the Duke smack talkers coming on here talking about the previous seasons and how they mean something. BS. Ohio State is the best team in the nation, bank it, book it. Sorry Duke, #2 at best this year.

Also, "Let's play football"

Also let's have a duke football bashing thread, see if any of you can come up with something we haven't heard before.

I think it's that show with Jennifer Love-Hewitt where she has conversations with poltergeists and then goes to bed with all of Duke's national champions of the present millennium.

I guess we could ask John Havlicek if he ever went all the way with Mary Tyler Moore on the Dick Van Dyke Show.
