Oh, I support him 100%, but I think the backlash will also include people doing things that they shouldn't, but just because I wouldn't do that doesn't mean I don't stand behind Schrock.

Honestly, I do hope he goes on to coach elsewhere.

Very true. Hence, they don't make the playoffs without Schrock, either.

Brent Besancon has a good mind for football, and has been a good coach. It's just a shame to see him get the job this way.

Can't wait to read this newspaper article... If all of what is being said is true, it will be very interesting to see how accurate the paper is. Anyone got an inside contact with any of the sports writers?

Bescancon should be ashamed...stick to farming! You dont just cut your own....well, some do...at Waynedale...we just keep trying.

On the accolades of this year alone...i dont see how schrock is let go. NEPOTISM....Thats how...its also how certain coaches with less success will retain their respective positions for yet another mediocre year!

SHAME on the Smithville administration!!!! Kieth Schrock IS Smithville football! That Man gave 35 years of his life to Smithville sports and this is the "thanks" he gets! I am outraged!

This system is really starting to concern me. This administration has totally botched how they hanlded the new school and now this type of action. I would guess there are certain board members that have a strong presence with this decision as well. Too bad for a good school system to have so many of the wrong people in the wrong positions.

Im a Bears fan, but when I got this news last night, I was truly sickened.....

It will be interesting to hear the details...Im betting Dorkson talks to Schrock soon....and if this was as crazy as it sounds, Schrock may just unleash and open a can of worms.

I think Brent Besancon would have left again and went after another coaching job had Schrock came back for another year. It seems as though the administration was going to make sure that this (Besancon leaving) would not happen, thus securing Brent's stay in Smithville and minimizing the headache of a future "coaching search".

...and isn't Brent Besancon's brother Frank still on the Board over there??...HMMMM interesting!

I've heard the Schrock signed a confidentiality agreement, making me curious how much he will be able to say to the paper? The Daily Record surely added an important piece in there stating that the resignation was forced. Someone must have been reading Ohio Chatter last night!

Coach Schrock is a man of integrity and I am sure he will not make this horrible situation worse by commenting too much in the paper! He loves Smithville football and he loved being Head Coach, he would never hurt the program, by lashing out in the paper! I just can't believe that it all ended this way!

Has anyone talked to any of the kids? Do they know yet? I can't imagine being one next years seniors and come to find out that the only person you've ever associated with Smithville Football is being told he can't come back next year. Such disappointment in the way this has been handled. I can't imagine this will go over well in the community. Are the administrators from the area? Do they know what Schrock and Smithville Football mean to the village?

It is pretty well known that Wayne County leads the OC in high school sports chat. Not surprised someone would use this as a source for a lead then follow up on it.

Now that Schrock has been ousted...the question that hasnt been asked....Does Hardman, Sayres (is he still there) and his long time assistants stay on board or jump ship in support of The Godfather?
