mompov: I just noticed your "location". You must be a neighbor of riders1, then.

Perhaps BRF will get a WCAL Trifecta tonight?

Glad to hear that momma bear is doing better! :)

Everybody have a good time......including the 3 Stooges!

WOW!

First off, Congratulations to Hillsdale, Norwayne, and Smithville on sharing the 2011 WCAL Championship. What a great season of Wayne County High School Football!!

Now on the big game tonight:

1. Congrats Norwayne for coming in ready to play focused football, a lot more disciplined and limited mistakes. Job Well done!
2. Hillsdale, you made it a very interesting game and played your rears off in front of an awesome crowd. You guys have nothing to be ashamed of and have put Hillsdale Falcon football on the map, and for that I commend you Job Well Done keep your heads up!

3. The Norwayne coaching staff has got to get it together otherwise they won't last long in the playoffs against very solid football teams. Bad play calling for most of the night, hardly any adjustments, and the worst clock management I have ever witnessed....yet they were able to overcome all that and pull out a victory against a great falcon football team. Just have to be able to COACH and make good decisions when the game is close or on the line.

4. I was sitting (actually standing on the end stairway because the students insisted on standing on the bleacher seats instead of on the isle ) behind the student section of Norwayne and other than the standing was impressed with the way they handled themselves, nice job Nor-What, NorWAYNE!

5. The story of the night was after Norwayne missed a FG late in the 4th qtr (which really was a bad call imo), a dedicated bobcat fan was ripping the kicker and the coaches for the terrible call and kick.....Numerous adult bobcat fans stood up and called him out for his negativity and told him to shut his mouth because we don't need you here talking bad about our team and coaches. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the Norwayne fans for stepping up, making a stand, and being positive.... it was a whole section against one crazy old fan. Well Done Bobcats, you earned my respect back!

Don't think there are words to describe how ugly that game was for my Bulldog boys. Lost another returning letterman first play. Lost the freshman who returned for TD last week at halftime to a concussion I heard. I won't go into depth, no point in that. So glad we played this jv game earlier. I don't think we'd have 11 left to field for it.
Still, great leadership from seniors and coaches, a learning experience for our youngsters and a lesson in humility and graciousness for our fans. Here's to next year!!

Good game to the boys from the Creek.

Bears go out on a winning note!!! Congrats to the boys on a great game! I enjoyed the playcalling tonight! The playbook was opened up and executed!!!!

Hats off to a young Dalton team for keeping their heads up!

I only wish the play calling/executing would have been as efficient the whole season. In talking with other fans, it was suggested and agreed that we looked good in scrimmages...against TV and Triway...but really never had a groove all year until week 10. Even playing Chippewa and Rittman....Bears were lackluster

Hats off to Norwayne on the win. I was hoping Hillsdale would get that one!

My question....who had the pick 6 to seal the game????

Congrats to the Bobcats on the win, heck of a game tonight. Smithies should be in the playoffs, I wish them the best and hope they tear region19 up. I only wish my Falcons could be joining them. Best of luck to all the local teams next week. It'll be interesting to see how far the Bobcats and Smithies go....wishing them both the best!!!

Nope, he wasn't a factor except for running around sticking his chest out.....lol

Jon Maibach had a very good game tonight. When he made that pic late in the game and took it to the house, Crestucky was rocking....cow bells were in surround sound around me.

The 50/50 was almost 600 bucks tonight. Dontcare was caring a bit on that one.....:)

#22 was a nonfactor tonight, kept his mouth shut and just played football. He did almost cost the bobcats on a punt return where he fumbled but the cats recoverd.

First I would like to congratulate the Falcons on a great season. You are a class act. You have a great team.

Great crowd tonight. Thank you Bobcats for a great season so far. You kept plugging away tonight in spite of what has got to be the lousiest play calling I have ever seen in my life. Norwaynes offensive coordinator is a joke. All of the credit for this win goes to the players. I'll leave it at that
