Here is a thought... Stole this from a coach who coached in NC. He says they do what we do with points BUT... they take the top 32 teams in a division. Doesn't matter where you are from. If you score enough to be in the top 32, you're in. Then they make their "regions" trying to keep the teams as close as possible but sometimes he said you had teams from the beach playing mountain teams early because of seeding.
