I work on PC's. Keeps me pretty busy sometimes. I've thought about actually advertising to do it, but I'm not sure I wanna take on all that since I work full-time and am taking Business classes full-time.

not a whole lot. thought about doing some private baseball lessons but the cost I'd charge to make it worth my while is not one that many can afford in the area I'm in

Aside from my bottled water business, I use my trucks to expedite freight. I have a run that I do twice a week that brings in almost 2K each week. Which is greatly needed as the water business is still basically in its infancy. Always willing to do local freight runs in anyone needs it!

I also buy foreclosed houses, renovate and rent them out. Pretty lucrative business.

You guys should definitely get into this. I have been doing this for 6 years now and I am buying houses for almost 10% of the appraisal value. I am at the point where I am buying houses straight cash and making positive cash flow every month. I highly recommend for people to get into the real estate business. The market won't be down forever and if you can ride it out, it'll be worth it IMO. Buy 1 property and see how it goes, if you are successful, continue to buy.

I bet. Seems like you enjoy it.

Mine's getting there. I could live on the income itself, but it wouldn't yet cover the necessary extras that a 9-to-5 covers ... benefits and so forth.

I had started making/decorating cakes, but I haven't had the energy to really push at it. I'm hoping to pick up in the next few months.

I don't do it because I am usually coaching, but I am thinking if someone can be fair, has fairly thick skin, and doesn't mind standing up alot, umpiring isn't a bad gig. You can work the nights you want, the weekends you want, and I know some of them here that easily make between $100-$150 per week. Now that's working 3 games Saturday and Sunday, but you train around this time of the year, learn the rules that you don't know, and they start you out at the younger levels and you work your way up. You have to be comfortable with it, but I know guys who have done it for years. Now I have never argued with any ump (but some of my assistants have briefly), but as a Pony coach, and I've seen hundreds of calls missed, they balance out pretty well. All you can ask a base umpire at our level is that you get in position to make the call. If you do, you get it correct 99+% of the time. And this is some of the stuff they teach you in class. One thing: I would recommend you wear a cup.
