Man...I wonder who ASVSM is playing? Below .500 and ranked...seems like there is always a team that plays a brutal schedule and makes a deep run with a poor record.

Northland beat them 77-69 on Saturday at the Schott.
6-7 with their last game being a loss and somehow they go from unranked to #10. That is ALL on namesake.

Last week South beat 2 teams who are highly ranked.
They beat Hamilton Southeastern, at the time was 3rd in the state of Indiana at the Flyin' to the Hoop in Dayton.
Then this past Saturday they beat Burlington (N.J.) Life Center Academy in the Ohio Play-by-Play Classic at Capital. Who boasts OSU commit Laquinton Ross.
But they are still ranked below(tied) a team that has 2 losses.

South hasn't lost in 40 regular season games....
It is truly amazing how much Coach Calo gets out of his players. With no one over 6'2 that plays significant minutes, they absolutely wear teams down with speed and shooting. Jackson is an absolute stud.
I think they are better suited for a deep tourney run this year due to their game against Life Center. They hadn't faced a team like that all last year, and it hurt them when they faced Marion Franklin and their stud Elijha Macon. Now that they have seen a team of similar style, I think they should be able to handle any team in central ohio this year, and, dare I say it, even Northland.

I mean obviously its a great accomplishment for the Cats to be ranked in the top 5 in the state. I just feel a little more respect is warranted

We both know it won't be warranted until they get to the final 4...They aren't a powerhouse by voters standards so they will never be voted above the traditional powerhouse teams.
