Tennessee might be a good fit.

Running game and defense are solid. Their season fell apart because of the QB situation.

Here's what will happen: Palmer will retire because he knows he cannot come back to this team, especially if Mike Brown called his retirement bluff. (Side note: Would you blame him for retiring? He won't ever be hurting for money, and who would want to play for that shipwreck of a team?) The real losers will be the Bengals because now they have to worry about the QB position on top of everything else. Palmer wasn't winning MVP's but he was at least a reliable player as in he knew the players, team, system, etc. and had experience. It'd be real interesting to see how he would have done with a new O-Coordinator and without TO/Onchocinco, but that's a pipe dream at this point.
The bittersweet news is that when Palmer does retire, Brown will look like such an ass for letting one of the better, loyal players on the team walk away leaving us empty-handed.

I'm really surprised that Cincinnati doesn't develop the area immediately next to the stadiums similar to what Columbus has with the Arena District. They could put a strip up right along the stadiums with bars and restaurants, overlooking the river that would absolutely thrive.

Cincinnati has been working on the banks project for quite some time. It was held up in courts a few years ago because they had issues about busing stopping in the area, peddler laws, and requirements for minority persons to live in a HUD housing type scenario. This prompted WLW to call the Banks project, the Banks Projects

Interesting. I'm from Columbus and don't know what is going on in Cincinnati, in terms of development. But I went to the Browns vs. Bengals game down there and couldn't help but think how awesome a strip of bars and restaurants would be right there along the stadiums.

Just seemed like a no-brainer considering how Columbus built up around the Jackets arena.

I think the economic downturn put the breaks on this. I remember the city planning this for 2002, then legal holdup, then by 2005 the economy was starting to tank and sure enough here we are in 2011 and the first of the buildings is just getting finished up.

As noted above, politics slowed the Banks Project. Hopefully things will get worked out and the development will be finished in the next couple of years.

I remember the Olympic bid, I think it was in the late 90's. Not only would the Olympics have been in Cincinnati, but there were discussions of holding some events in Columbus and even up on Lake Erie (the rowing competitions and what not). I lived in Cincinnati at the time and I remember the local media basically calling the guy a loon.
