I'll take the Packers and the best QB left. Hopefully the Jets don't shut him down, too.

If the game comes down to the last drive I would pick Ben in a minute.

Career Playoff Stats:

Rodgers: 73.3%, 10 TDs, 1 INT
Roethlisberger: 61.6%, 17 TDs, 12 INTs

You can have him.

Thanks. I'll take him. Also, how many postseason games has each played? Rank of defenses played in the postseason? Lots of different factors to consider. 2 rings as opposed to none too by your logic. And the Trent Dilfer argument doesn't apply here as he only has one ring and he never threw a game-winning TD pass in the Super Bowl. Ben had a very nice 2nd postseason until the Super Bowl. 2 years ago he played well and had a good game in the Super Bowl and made a play for the ages.

Rodgers is great but let's see what he does on the biggest stage in football if he gets there. And I'm a Rodgers fan. But give Ben his due.
When it's crunch time....he typically makes a big play.

Don't get me wrong, I think Ben's the 7th best QB in the league. But 31/51, 1 TD, and 3 INTs on the biggest stage in football isn't exactly great. I'd argue that the entire Super Bowl is crunch time, and the team around him has done a hell of a job winning Super Bowls for him.

And Aaron Rodgers doesn't have great players around him? Even with Grant and Finley hurt this season he still has a shit ton of weapons around him and that defense is outstanding. And the Steelers don't even make it to Super Bowl XL without Ben's brilliant postseason play. And that INT vs. Arizona in Super Bowl XLIII was tipped and not his fault. Then, the great players around him relinquished the lead only to have Ben lead them back down the field to throw the game-winning TD pass in the last minute of the Super Bowl.

IMO, and in the opinion of quite a few former NFL players and analysts, Ben deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Brady and Manning. Ben's top 5 at worst unless your caught up in statistics as opposed to intangibles and winning.

We can agree to disagree.

Tough call on Rodgers or Big Ben. I would say that the Steelers won the super bowl despite him the first go around....but that cant be said for the second super bowl. With Rodgers, we will see....he hasn't been there yet.

I will pick the team that wears either green or black in their colors. Anyone want to wager against that? LOL

GB is a two point favorite because their defense is playing lights out and Rodgers is playing as well as any quarterback out there. Plus, let's look at Rodgers full games in a dome from the past two seasons:

2010:
@ Atlanta: 31/36 366 yards, 3 TDs
@ Atlanta: 26/35, 344 yds, TD
@ Minnesota: 22/31, 301 yards, 4 TDs

2009:
@ Arizona: 28/42, 422 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT
@ Arizona: 21/26, 235 yards, 1 TD
@ Detroit: 28/39, 348 yards, 3 TD
@ Minnesota: 26/37 384, 2 TD, 1 INT
@ St. Louis: 13/23 269, 2 TD

195/269 (72%), 2,669 yards (333 yard average), 20 TDs

And just for good measure:

@ Pittsburgh: 26/48, 383 yards, 3 TD

While past successes aren't perfect to projecting future successes, the data would show that Rodgers is poised to have a really really good game. That's probably part of why the Packers at -2.5. The other part being that people are betting 50/50 for the Steelers +2.5 and Packers -2.5 :)

Ben had a pretty good game when they played the Packers last season if I recall.

Just for good measure. ;-)

Very true. I'd expect he'll have another good one on 2/6 as well.
