Not a shock, since TNT is now covering the NCAA Tourney with CBS, TBS, and TruTV. But they just announced that they will be bringing their crew in as well. Personally, I like it, even though they are NBA guys.

I really like Steve Kerr joining the broadcast for the Final Four.

This could be a huge bust, but I think these guys know what is at stake for their company and themselves. They will prepare very well and I think will really add a lot. Their personalities are all perfect for discussion and they arent boring like a lot of Studio/sideline guys.

But some comedic announcing is a step up, for sure. Its the one downside of the tourney. You dont get any humor out of the studio or announcers.

I personally like the TNT coverage of the NBA better than the other networks. For me this is a good thing.

It cant be any worse than what CBS does for the tourney. What they need to do is get the tourney away from CBS all together and get it to a network with more than one channel so you are constantly getting turned from one game to another, in the middle of a good game they cut to a lame ass game.

While I got the wish list going can we put Dicke V in a ring of angry lions and listen to him say the same old tired ass one liners he's been saying for the last 20 yrs before they eat him.

You know you will be getting all 4 games at a time this year right? CBS, TNT, TBS, and TruTV.

I love the TNT crew, so this is good. Reggie is annoying though.

I just wish Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery could announce every single game in the history of universe.

Im down for that.

I actually think Dickie V is great for College Basketball and really brings a lot to the game. But he can do all that without broadcasting lol.

Yeah, I love Reggie Miller -- he's my favorite basketball player of all-time, regardless of level -- but he straights sucks as an announcer. If I wanted Steve Harvey presiding over my game, I'd write into TBS. I don't want Reggie in any capacity calling an intense and to-the-wire tournament game for my favorite team. The NCAAs are, at least in my view, a serious and at times emotionally crushing event, and I don't want to hear Reggie or Jeff Van Gundy cracking knee-slappers with Chris Webber as Kyle Singler attempts to make a game-winning basket.

The NBA guys who are strictly NBA guys should stick to the NBA. Aside from a select few guys, such as Kevin Harlan who has proven to be an equally successful announcer on both the college and professional levels, the NBA guys are better at MCing than calling serious basketball. The NCAA Tournament isn't about humor or studio entertainment. It's purely about the game and the emotional rollercoaster that is the human spirit. Guys like Jim Nantz and Bill Raftery and Dick Enberg understand this and, while adding lighthearted humor here and there, present these games as if they were historical combat scenes. I love that added feeling of import and it takes the NCAAs to another level of drama. Bob Costas would be a fantastic NCAA announcer for this very reason.

Well, I just listened to Charles and Kenny in the studio with Greg on TruTV, and while they dont know college basketball that well. They are going to bring a MUCH needed humor to the tourney, especially now that we will have a lot more studio time (I say that not knowing if stations will show the same games at the same time or not, or if they will have a studio show between the networks given games).

Either way, I really like the way they work off each other, and Chuck is so honest, its nice to hear. Just have to get by the fact they dont know their teams all that well. But they can still break down a college game.

They aren't that bad. It was kind of overwhelming at first to have so many people in the studio but I'm getting used to it.

Steve Kerr has been really good so far I think.

Kerr is a fantastic and very underrated Color Analyst imo. Pumped he is joining Nantz and Kellogg for the Final Four. I think the 3 man booths can be great.

I have to admit, I think Chuck and Kenny have been great in the studio thus far. And Kenny especially brought a great element to the studio team this past weekend after the Duke-Carolina game. Being, of course, a former Tar Heel, Kenny integrated some rivalry banter into his overview, which was entertaining. I was wrong.

However, I still think Reggie Miller will be horrible, as I thought he was in the UK-Tennessee game he did as prep for his NCAA tournament debut. This is college basketball, not Slam From The Street.

They usually show it when Ernie starts rippin' on Kenny and Chuck. It's a good one for sure
