They earned those wins. The only game I'd say they "snatched from the jaws of defeat" was the first Pittsburgh game.
They flat out gave away the Denver game in which they managed the clock perfectly and scored when they needed.
The Oakland game they dominated the entire game, made 2 very poor mistakes in the final 50 seconds and it cost them 10 points.
I'll be conservative and say they should probably be 9-2, but still.
So when they won the close games, they earned them. When they lost, they gave it away, and the teams that beat them didn't earn it?? Spoken like a typical Bengals fan.
I'd say the Denver game is the definition of "giving a game away," wouldn't you?
As for the Oakland game, stuff happens. Oakland made 2 big plays and earned the victory. With that said, other than the first Pittsburgh game, the Bengals don't have a W that you can say they were out-played and the other team did everything they could to assist in the Bengals' winning.
I'm not sure how long you've been around, but the last thing I am is a homer. I've always been skeptical of the Bengals under Marvin Lewis, even in 2005 when they were in a similar position. For the first time in eight years, I don't think it's a fluke. The team is different, they go about things differently and they can definitely play with anyone in the NFL.
I'd say most Bengals' fans haven't felt that way in a LONG time. That was my initial point.
