Imagine the disappointment of my children when we went to Dinosaur World last year and they saw that the velociraptors were really just pre-historic chickens (feathers and all...just slightly taller).
I was the little kid obsessed with dinosaurs, so when I saw the movie, I already knew that the ones on there were more deinonychus-sized.

It would ruin it for kids who didn't know that, though. I'm sure they're scarred. ;)

If Hollywood has taught us anything, it's that the dinosaurs will find their way onto a boat and into San Diego, wreaking havoc on Southern California and Jeff Goldblum's career.

I think it's great a dinosaur is named "Utahraptor". Beforehand, I would have thought that was a rapture-crazed Mormon.

It would be cool until they discovered it wasn't a comet hitting the earth that caused a mass extinction, but rather Mammoth flatulence.

Ha ha...that is funny because a big (secret) part of the reason we went there was so I could prove to my stepson that I wasn't just making shit up. Nothing drives the point home like a "life-size" statue. And pushups for being wrong/arguing with me.

And yeah, when I was in second grade I taught the dinosaur lesson because the teacher couldn't pronounce all the names. And probably got beat up for being a nerd. Anyway, when the movie came out, I was like, what the fuck? And then probably got beat up again.

I would have gotten beat up, but I was always the biggest kid in class (tallest and weighed the most). Instead, I just had no friends until I was about 13. :D

Eh, its not as fun as you think to @#$% with T-Rex. One time I fell through this dimensional portal and was chased by one. Escaped pretty easily...but dealing with the Sleestaks, now that was a lot more challenging.
