Who is having the better season? Who would you want on your team right now? Comments pls and I am not interested in making this a poll.

If you are asking who you would pick to start a team with right now, it's easy.

However, I think Gasol, today gets the nod for this season. However, the Clippers are starting to win some games, and if they continue, by the end of the season Griffin would have to be considered to have had a better season.

Here are the stats:
Gasol - 18.5 ppg, 51% FG, 10.7 rpg, 2 blocks in 37.5 minutes
Griffin - 22.5 ppg, 52% FG, 12.8 rpg, .7 blocks in 37.3 minutes

And just to put Bosh in perspective, a guy people thought was playing awful:
Bosh - 18.6 ppg, 50%, 8.2 rpg, .7 blocks in 35.5 minutes

Griffins numbers are clearly better, so your reasoning for picking Gasol is that he's on a winning team? Wow talk about idiotic.

Better season: Griffin. Player I'd rather have: Pau, for experience.

I asked for opinions and ppl are giving theirs. No one is right or wrong here as I doubt any of us are NBA GM's.

No problem. Its just an opinion thread and I was trying to keep you from turning this into a personal pissing match like nearly every other thread turns into.

I'm saying I'd be more confident in Pau showing up, yes. Just like I'd take Pierce over Rudy Gay or Rondo/Rose over Chris Paul.

Fair enough. I agree with Rondo over Paul

Blake. He is more explosive, and more athletic. But again, if we are going just for this year Id take Pau.

Blake I dont think would "choke" in the playoffs, but I think they are more physical, and I think PF need to be able to knock down jumpshots in the playoffs. Pau has proven that he can knock them down consistently, while Blake hasnt. Griffin is improving that aspect every week though, so next year, I doubt I even give this a second thought.

Both players have done a great job this season deferring to Kobe/Gordon in the end of game situations as well. Im impressed Blake has been such a great teammate from that aspect.

If I'm building a team, Griffin.
If I'm wanting to win right now, Gasol.
If I just wanted a PF and had the option of the two, Griffin.

Christ, if I wanted youtube high-lights, I'd take Blake Griffin.

If I want championship basketball from my PF spot, I'll take Gasol, and it's not even close.

Put Griffin on the Lakers right now and take off Pau and the Lakers do not make it to the Finals.

I would agree that Gasol is a better fit for the Lakers, but I don't know if this statement would hold true.
