Once for me. I was 16 and working at a Dry Cleaners. I had to open up at 7am on Saturdays and after a long friday night. Owner came in at like 7:30 and found me with my head down asleep in the back. Oh well, he must have hired and fired 10-15 high school kids per year.

So, how about you?

Nope. Laid off once (from a company currently being sued by Mike DeWine), never fired.

nope, only have had 2 jobs though. one at fast food and one at a road construction company.

I have been fired by three companies and each company hired me back at more money and benifits after I was rehired by one of the other two companies that fired me within one or two years after being fired and they all hired me back, two company that fired me twice and hired me back twice.

Yep. Operations Manager at a truck terminal - I was being giving instructions that I knew were costing us money and was getting blamed for results. I finally walked into the regional manager's office and told him that changes had to made, and made now. Change were made immediately - namely me. Note - the company closed down less than two years later.

My wife says that this was actually the best day of our life together - we decided that is was time for me to get out of the transportation field and find a job with more family-friendly working conditions.

Got fired one time. After they fired me I got called and was begged by the owner to come back he needed to talk to me and didnt want me to leave. I told them I wasnt leaving on my own that I was fired by so and so. The owner began to beg me again but i didnt go back cause that meant i could go get my cdl and have the state pay for it. which happened and drove a truck til i got the job i have now.

Yes, back in college I worked for a place that did furniture reupholstery. They were having financial problems and I made the mistake of talking about it and they fired me (rightfully so in hindsight). Learned a valuable lesson that has served me well in my jobs since that time!!

Superior I never listen to then ... I worked for the owner they do get a little pissed when you call them assholes but they get over when you start eating their lunch at another company

After 30 year of working for someone and making others money, putting up with incompentancy I did quit and start my own ....

Wife is a preschool teacher. Yesterday, she brought home some art from one of the students. Looked like penises walking on four legs. Somehow, I could tell they were dogs.

You get used to that kind of stuff. :D

Once. With about 40 others at the same time. They called us all back a week later, but I was young and let my pride get in the way. Gave up a $20 an hour job on that bonehead move. But it's worked out, kinda.

Got canned from applebees the day after thanksgiving this year. Was sick got sent home for being sick then the next day got fired cause i didnt go to the doctor even though they never told me to go to the doctor.
