8-5 is not a good season = It isn't a great season at all, but for a first year in a new system its not horrible. Please look up Tressel's first year in Columbus and get back to me. Also, 8-5 is better than what you said they would be, they won their bowl game (since they chose to accept it LOL) and you lost a bet. Your failure to hold up your end of the bet played a role in justin opening the door to the basement. Congrats, you are a real trail blazer.

They consistently get a top recruiting classes that don't win anything(in other words, they are overrated) = Define top recruiting class? Most years have been in the mid to high teens, with a couple top tens mixed in.
ND fans have unrealistic expectations, many are already expected ND to win the championship or a BCS bowl next year and when that doesn't happen, they will talk about next year = No one is EXPECTING them to win the national championship next year, but to be in contention for a BCS bowl is not unrealistic.
They have never and will never beat Ohio State = Never is a long time, considering they already have twice.
They are a below average to average football program with fans that try to rationalize and praise mediocrity with the more arrogance than teams who actually produce results = Again, your opinion on them being a below average program. They haven't been good recently and I don't believe anyone has said they have been.
