I think those three guys could be in any order.....all are about the same talent wise, I just like Watt he reminds me of Jared Allen.

So Coach Shurmur goes to the Auburn Pro day, and now they are holding a private workout for Cam Newton?
What are everyone's thoughts.....Are they serious about him? Just trying to drive up a trade? Keep everyone guessing who we are really targeting with our #6 pick?

Cam Newton isn't a WCO QB. I imagine they are just showing interest hoping someone will grab him ahead of them, and allow someont they really want to drop.OQB;706457 wrote:So Coach Shurmur goes to the Auburn Pro day, and now they are holding a private workout for Cam Newton?

The Browns need to learn from past mistakes; i.e. " He is a outside linebacker WE THINK can make the switch to DE" or He is a DE we think can make the switch to OLB " then after 2 seasons they realize he cant make the switch. The mock draft a few posts up would be worst case scenario for Browns. They have got to be praying that someone picks a QB before them so a DL will drop to them. That being said even though i want a dominant DL , if Peterson is still there at 6 (which i doubt) there is no way you pass on him. I like Watt but not at 6.

Miyagi!!! Where ya been man?? haha
I agree, I don't want one of those "tweeners" what I call DE/LB or LB/DE....you just can't miss on that first round pick...period! I think if Miller is the only guy left out of that top group you trade down and get Watt or Julio Jones at the 10-12 spot.

haha I got a lot of faith in the front office now....Von Miller wouldn't be all that bad, just have to make sure we do our research and know what he can and cannot do.

For the 3rd round pick for the Browns in my Mock Draft I took Orlando Franklin OL from Miami. A lot of WRs went in the last 2nd round so I didn't take them. Mikel Lashoure was still on the board and I thought about taking him for a little bit.

In Tony Grossi's colum on sunday he said that he thinks Hillis gets moved to the FB in the offense this season esp since it doesnt appear that we tendered Vickers. Normally I think Grossi writes more Sci Fi than fact, and I hope this isn't true.

Defensive end Robaire Smith has been medically cleared to play, his agent, Michael Harrison, told The Chronicle-Telegram.
Smith missed the final 11 games of last season with a spinal bruise while with the Browns. He should be a free agent when a new labor agreement is reached but has expressed interest in returning to Cleveland.
"Glad to be back!!" Smith said in a text message to the newspaper. "Can’t wait."
Browns general manager Tom Heckert said at the NFL Scouting Combine last month that the team is interested in bringing Smith back.
Smith, 33, started working out about two months ago and was anticipating the medical clearance given by his spine surgeon, Dr. Robert Watkins.

I don't know what to think of this mock draft.....I really don't think we would use most of our picks on defensive players, but you never know.

I hope we do. I love that mock draft, except for that CB out of miam in the 4th. I think there were better options there. Only thing we would need to address is the right side of the line in FA.
