He really doesn't fit a need, he's a SS and we already have a SS. We need a FS.

Whitner could play free safety. He's certainly athletic enough.

I guess that's true. He could play FS, but he's better at SS. Why give someone big money and play them out of position? That'd be more of a Cavs move. Holmgrem is too smart to do something like that.

lol I think he's talking about Tristan Thompson at the 5, Anderson at the 5, Boobie at the PG. Something to that effect.

I would have rather taken Kanter #1, Kemba #4, and Honeycutt/Singlar at #32, and Lighty/Liggins at 50-whatever. The Cavs draft this year was horrible.

If not Kanter at #1, take Irving and get Donatas Matiejunas at #4... a bit of a reach, but he's a 7 foot center that could play and contribute right away. The Cavs biggest need, was a scoring option at center... not a 6'8" PF that can't score.

Anyway, back to the Browns...

Well to start, you can't take Cantor at one because there is no player named Cantor that took part in this draft.

LOL at you wanting to draft a guy #1 over the obvious choice...yet not even knowing how to spell his fucking name. Cantor...lol. Its fucking Kanter. With a K and an E.

So you guys like the Cavs draft then?

I'll admit, I don't know as much about basketball. I'm sure they tried to move around, but it just seemed like they didn't know what to do when Utah took Kanter. They can't start 3 point guards and 4 power forwards. I understand that Kanter at #1 and Kemba at #4 would have both been reaches. That was my point. Tristan Thompson wasn't a reach at #4? I don't know what they should've done otherwise, and maybe Thompson will be an All Star... who knows. The mock draft I read had the Cavs taking a SF (Tyler Honeycutt from UCLA or Kyle Singlar from Duke) at #32, and a SG (either Deandre Liggins from Kentucky or David Lighty from Ohio State) at #50-?.

I guess taking a PG, a C, a SF, and a SG was a terrible idea then. They got their franchise PG, an undersized PF that has no range shooting, and another PF that will probably never play for them. That's so much better...

My three areas I thought the Browns should address, were wide receiver, defensive line (more specifically DE), and the right side of the offensive line.

They drafted Greg little. Torrey Smith and Titus Young were both gone. His hands concern me, but he can still stretch the field and he's a good blocker. Greg Little is Julio Jones-like, without the speed.

They drafted Phil Taylor and the DE from Pitt. They're talking to Ray Edwards, who I specifically said they should try to sign. I said it like 5 months ago.

Are John St. Claire and Shawn Le? really the future at RT and RG? St. Claire was one of the worst starting RTs in the NFL last year.

Make fun of my basketball I.Q. all you want, but I do know football.

Wow... you guys ate my lunch over a typo. Strong argument.

I didn't say that I wanted Enes at #1... Take Irving #1 and get a big at #4 not named Tristan Thompson.

Eric Wright is headed to Detroit...that's a damn shame.

BTrev - WR isn't as big of a need as you think. They have a solid foundation of young guys on the roster. Look for the Matthews kid from Kentucky to make an impact, and Carlton Mitchell is a promising wideout who didn't even sniff the field last year because Mangini is a douche. The right side does need addressed, but Shawn Lauvao is potential. DE - Ray Edwards may sign, but even if he doesn't the team will be alright with Jabaal Sheard and Jayme Mitchell (if they can get him signed).

For now, stick to reading the news though... smh.

I think Carlton Mitchell has great potential. I liked him in college and wanted the Browns to get him...

He's big, fast, and ridiculously built. He's also a cool ass dude.

I'd think he's as good as gone. Sucks in a 4-3 anyway.

Wasn't thrilled to see E Wright leave. Another body Heckert's going to need to replace. Don't blame E one bit after getting the death threats from idiot fans.

Sucks that wright is gone.
Sucks that we didn't land Joseph.
Jackson was a good pick up.
Hopefully Edwards comes today along with a few others.

God, I hope they get a starting/impact linebacker. That was their biggest need, imo, coming into this free agency.

Off topic....but, is it just me or should they hold free agency, do rookie signings, etc like this EVERY year? This seems a lot more fun/exciting than normal years. Maybe it's just due to people jonesing over football but this seems REALLY fast paced.
