I haven't seen anything about Hardesty getting injured either. Today was the first day he participated in full contact drills. Everything I saw said he was fine.

Thank God. I haven't seen anything else either. I follow brownsfdr on Twitter, and they had a pic of Shurmur standing with Hardesty as trainers attended to his leg. Just what it said.

The browns are legit this year. If we can get some good pash rush from our line, we will be golden.

Also, I put these bets down yesterday. Let me know what you would have down. Total wins for the next year.

Over/Under total wins for the year for each team.

San Fransisco 49ers-Over/Under 7.5
Washington Redskins- Over/Under 6.0
Cincinnati Bengals- Over/Under 5.5

If anyones interested, here's the block Greg Little had on the Wallace scramble. Awesome to see from a rookie WR.

So glad you found this! This is the block I was talking about. Helluva block from a rookie WR.

Love it. This is why I was so excited with the Little pick... IMO, if he wasn't suspended, he's probably a 1st round pick. He's going to be a VERY good WR.

No injury on Hardesty but I did hear the docs are saying "week 6 is the soonest" so, I'm expecting him to hit the PUP. We'll see...

Mr Miyagi;863005 wrote:not to get off topic but........... i like Cribbs as a KR but with the new kickoff rules being applied and most being touchbacks, if you were the Browns would have you signed him to a big multiyear contract knowing he wouldnt be returning many kicks?
I know we looked pretty good Sat, and it is alright to be optimistic but i still see them going 6-10 and then improving on that in 2012. One thing i took away from Sat is that we finally have a off cord play caller for the first time since the Browns have been back. No more knowing the play before they even break the huddle. No more Carthon. No more Dabol. I like the unpredictable play calling of Shurmur. Our offense is going to be so much better because of that alone. Defense , injuries , depth is going to be our enemy this year. also dont like the end of the schedule, Balt and Pitt 4 times in the last 5 games? gimme a break

I think its stupid they signed any kick returner to a big multi year deal. If there is one position to can completely negate at any time its kick returner.

Lotta optimism here after one decent pre-season game. Reality is a cold bitch that bites hard come mid-October.

Hardesty could end up being a monumental bust for what the Browns gave up for him but just because he's injury prone doesn't make him a "vag." Nobody frustrated me more than Courtney Brown who was ALWAYS injured. Yes, he was a China Doll but he wasn't a "vag" because of it.

Can't speak for others but the "optimism" comes from the offensive showing (see previous coat hanger abortion comment). I GUARANTEE this offense will be LIGHT YEARS ahead of the shit Mangini put on the field. I don't think they are a playoff team but they should be improved in the win column.

Browns have time on their side. They are getting younger while the Steelers (oldest team in the NFL) and Ravens are getting older at key positions.

I don't think anyone is going overboard here with optimism. Nice Fail. We're just excited to see an actual offense on the field. But please continue to be that guy.

its better than the subtle over reaction to a shitty first preseason game by the stillers that has caused their fans to attack browns fans for their optimism.

See my comments about "time" being on the Browns side. Not saying that it will be THIS year but the Steelers ARE aging and WILL start falling apart.

Just get frustrated with my organization drafting someone with injury problems, then it's year 2 and he has yet to play a down and is looking at more injury problems. Maybe "vag" isn't the right word, but I dont care haha he's a vag in my book
