And, of course, the supposed "finalists" for Tatupu's services are the Raiders and....Browns.

WR Demetrius Williams is one of the most pleasant surprises of #Browns camp. He's catching everything thrown his way.

Haden with a great pass defense on Robiskie. RoBo still can't get separation to save his life out here #Browns

Auston English & Jabari Fletcher played RDE with first-team defense while Jabaal Sheard sat out. Sheard appears to be bothered by leg

I've been following all the Jordan Norwood talk, and the coaches are really high on this kid. They certainly have talent at the wideout position, but there's no denying that they lack experience. Robo is likely to get cut I do believe, which is sad because I really wanted to see him do well in the NFL. MoMass, contrary to popular opinion, is set to have a really good year in my opinion. Greg Little is really impressing coaches and appears to be really eager to "be coached". I'm sorry, I know Joshua Cribbs is a fan favorite among Cleveland fans, but he is not a starting WR in the league. Norwood I think will be our slot guy come opening day with MoMass and Little likely to start. Mitchell has all the upside in the world, and I think UDFA WR Chris Matthews has a legit shot at making the roster. I love this kid's height (6'5") and the potential for him to be successful is certainly there. If the WRs we have live up to half their potential (which they won't) then the Browns have a solid receiving core. However, with injuries and lack of depth anyway, I'm really concerned about the position. I still think they'll bring in an experienced guy who is a true wide receiver (unlike Cribbs) - but their options are running out. (Braylon and T.O. are still out there...eeek)

He got burnt a lot, apparently, but they need depth and he fits that bill.

A certain Philadelphia Eagle blog has Patterson listed as one of the 25 worst/least valuable players in the NFL.

So apparently Reggie Hodges is out for the year with a torn achilles. He's a punter. I wonder what it feels like for him to get up in the morning, look in the mirror, and go "wow, i'm a tremendous pussy"

Not many liked the Skrine pick as much as I did, but it sounds like he has been impressive thus far.

So I mentioned the three year plan a few days ago about the direction the browns will most likely go....here is something to sit and think about though....

IF and that's a big if Colt Mccoy doesn't pan out as our starter this year....do we do whatever it takes to get that number 1 pick to get Andrew luck and what do you think they would have to give up to get him?

Possibly, but I don't know. Teams are going to be more willing to trade up in next year's draft with the Rookie Wage scale in place. Before teams weren't likely to move up in the Top 5 of the draft because those players will making far more than the rookies this year did. I'd say it depends though... if it's not the Browns with the top pick, and they have to give up half their draft just to get Luck...I don't think Heckart and Holmgren will go for that. If it's a couple draft picks (probably both of our 1st RD picks) and a player or two...then they may entertain the thought.

Personally, I don't think we're a "Top 5 in the Draft" kind of team. I'm totally against giving up half our draft for one player. I think we drafted well this year and next year if we have a solid draft, then the following year we may be in play to sign some of those "big name" free agents to put this team over the top.
