People typically have a hobby of collecting something. So what's yours?

I collect shot glasses from most places I visit or travel to. Have a pretty big collection and should be adding a ton more with our deployment this year.

I occasionally collect football cards of the Miami Hurricanes.

I used to collect antique fire extinguishers. I restored a few. I ended up giving them to my Bro-in-law as he is a fire fighter.

When I was younger I used to collect panties but that got to be pretty expensive cause most of the hookers charge extra for keeping their underwear.

Books. Positive mania for them. Between my stepfather and I, the library is full, bookshelf in living room, bookshelf in my bedroom with stacks of books on nightstands, floor and dresser.
Can't get rid of them once I get'em.

Soccer scarves.
MLS jerseys.
I wouldn't say I "collect" books, but I like getting them, reading them, and keeping them.

I used to collect business cards when I was younger.

i have collected football cards (though not intensely) and basketball cards (very intensely) in the past. I'd really be curious as to what my collection is worth since i have a pretty good number of complete sets and rookie cards from the early-mid 90's.

right now i collect pint glasses from bars that i like. usually there not for sale but you can haggle with some places and get them. I have 30 from the town house in Marietta if anyone would like 1.

Cards from the early-mid 90s are essentially worthless, unfortunately. That is where most of my collection fell and I ended up throwing most of them away.

Everyone who collects newspapers has the major events. The real scarce ones are of the mundane day-to-day events. In 100 years, the most valuable won't be a NY Times proclaiming the end of WWII, it'll be one with a headline like "Canada Stalls on Trade Pact".

Why would I want mundane, day-to-day ones? I am not collecting them for economic value. Their value is my appreciation of going back and reading them.

There's a reason that everyone collects the significant event papers. It's because they were significant.
