Should be interesting. Usually the Irish fare well against Syracuse with their three point shooting, so I think that will determine this game. If the Irish can't shoot them out of the zone it could be a long game. We'll see though, this year's team has won with workmanlike efforts on the boards and defense so maybe they could get it done without the threes and surprise me...

If Syracuse plays with the same defensive energy they have had most of this season....they'll get out on ND's shooters and it will be tough for ND to hit shots and consequently difficult for them to win. Jardine would have to get extremely selfish and just start gunning shots and Rick Jackson would have to end up in early foul trouble for ND to win this IMO.

ND impresses me but Syracuse is extremely athletic and has depth they haven't had in years. Jardine, Joseph and Southerland can fill it up inside or from outside. Jackson, Melo and Moussa-Keita provide size down low. Waiters, Fair and Triche are all good ballhandlers who can score if needed. It should be a good game but the Orange win.

Big win for the Irish tonight over UCONN. They start the Big East gauntlet with a 2-1 record.

Good win for ND, no question. And not taking anything away from them. But UConn is coming down to earth now. I can see a free fall coming with them.
