TY, That sums it up!! Big Red wins football games. Even sends 2 or 3 kids a year to college. The other 60 kids fight for the job at McDonalds. I, for one, applaud your football success. Indeed you have it right.

YEP, can't say anything GOOD about Dover football!

Everything about Dover football is a joke. I have never seen a fan base so arrogant, yet have won absolutely nothing. Big Red fans may be hated for their arrogance, but at least everything we say can be backed up on the field (except against Mooney, obviously).

If your alumni center is full and not accepting new members, you must be from big red.

IMO the best thing about Dover football is that the program helps prepare its student athletes for success in life. The things that our players take with them after graduation aren't stats, winning records, or hardware. They take life lessons with them that help them to continue succeeding long after they've played their last game under the lights. You can't quantify that kind of success; our program isn't about winning, our players know that with dedication, focus and work ethic the winning will take care of itself. Its about character, and the responsibility of leading a life worthy of pride. With most teams its about the player, but in Dover its about the person. I'm more proud of that than anyone should ever be of any on-the-field accomplishment.

Which less insulting post are you referring to? The only posts that get deleted are posts that don't follow the rules or when they do nothing but trash up the thread. Not trying to get into habits of deleting stuff. If you referring to the one with tank with the AAF thing..I pm'ed him about that. I just deleted that to mess around with him about it. He knows that. I'm assuming that's what you are referring to.

Dover's football program is on the right track - no doubt!

In order for Dover to reach the state semi's or finals or win a state championship, only one thing comes to mind - which was evident in both the regional championship games the last two years: Dover has got to win the L.O.S. battle!!! Bottom Line!!!

If Dover can win the L.O.S. at that level - they'll move to the State Final Four and beyond...

IMO, Dover will make huge runs the next two years to come!

This isn't about strength of schedule or the E.C.O.L...

Actually, if you are referring to the player I assume you are, he was not "open enrollment" as they moved to Dover the summer before his junior year. So, he would just have been enrolled in the district in which he lived. I cannot comment as to the motive for moving to Dover. I know him well but have never asked that question. (However I did hear about a memo that said...)

I can comment that by and large Dover is a "homegrown" team in all sports. I've watched most of these kids, from elementary school on, playing on teams in the Dover youth leagues.

I, like many others, would like to see us have a chance to move through the playoffs without the teams that traditionally benefit so heavily from open enrollment and "recruiting". I understand that is not necessarily the fault of coaching staff at those schools (although I'd venture a quess it's not discouraged either); often it's just from parents with skilled kids who want them in the best programs. However, it does put most other schools at a decided disadvantage. Just look at the final 12 teams in the state finals - five were private schools.

(Post a message over on JJH about open enrollment or recruiting and dare to mention either of the two favored schools and watch you post disappear!)

How did a thread about Dover Football turn into pages of Big Red fan reminding Dover of the Big Red v Dover score? Does Mooney fan eff with your threads by posting BLOWOUT on page after page? STFU and go play with your pay as you go cell phones you got for Christmas
