We all know Dover has never even played for a state title, do you think that they ever will? Is their weak conference enough to ready them for the rugged playoffs seeing as they always exit before they get to the championship game?

I find it funny Dover people trash the N.B.C, yet they ran from that league.

Dover didn't run from the NBC it was a reaction to a few events that exploded after the Dover - West Branch game where Dover was screwed out of a victory and fans cars were keyed and towed. Lets not go down that path. I would say Dover football is very real and is not a joke. Unfortunately for them they can't rest on 22 paper titles(although they have 1) and a shit ton of titles won years ago. They have slowly progressed to a consistent regional final qualifier and will continue to get better each year. I think the new direction of the ECOL will go a long way in helping things. Adding Zanesville and another big team will help the league and Dover a ton. Especially losing the small schools off the schedule.

Don't start with the Dover got screwed in the NBC, you know as well as I do, Dover people trashed the NBC on the other site and ran their mouths how Dover would roll through the NBC

Zanesville isn't going to help you out all that much either..they got a pretty weak schedule too. Remember..they were also 9-1 last year and didn't make the playoffs either. Finishing behind even New Philly..who we all know what there schedule looked like. Be careful..after a couple years..that might run from the ECOL too. ;)

With the exception of Louisville, Dovers weak schedule racked up more points than any of the NBC teams, and CalPreps calculates Dover as beating all NBC teams including Louisville.....

If I had a computer that calculated Dover beating Louisville (with or without Swigert) I would throw it out.

Calpreps also had my Chieftains beating Louisville last year too..and well..we all know how well that went. :( That's pretty funny that you mention what Calpreps says as something that really matters though. LOL

I didnt mention calpreps, but he was referring to the general consensus oof where Dover woulld have stood in the NBC this year. I agree, it was meaningless, considering louisville got raked in the first round and none oof the NBC teams made it past the 2nd round!!

I am not the AD and therefore don't have that ability, I realize for those who live in the delusional world of vicarious living it may be possible, however out here in the real world it isnt.

Since Dover is in a contract with their league, there is no chance of rejoining the NBC, but when they soon have 6-7 non league games I be surprised to not see them schedule several of the better NBC teams.

You folks really gotta realize that this is just a freakin game that HIGH SCHOOL KIDS play, supposedly for fun, and the vicarious living through what these kids do to somehow supplement personal inadequacies is really kind of sad.

I was thinking they were..but now after giving it a second thought..I do believe they did indeed finish out there 2 or 3 year contract with our league. Not that I blame them for really leaving though. They were dumb for joining in the first place IMO.

Its not terribly exciting to have them join as much as it is to have claymont, meadowbrooke, and riverview off the schedule. Coshocton has always been a good game, but they can be gone as well, it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Zanesville is up and down..last year they did beat St. Charles..but that was the only team they beat worth mentioning..they did play my Chieftains..but of course..that wasn't exactly a dominating performance on the Blue Devils part. LOL I believe Logan beat them 26-0 or something like that.

Their campus seems to be a vortex of doom for Dover, we always end up playing BB or Football playoff/regional tourney games there on Friday the 13th and loosing.....
