- clinches AFC North and No. 2 seed with win over Cleveland or Baltimore loss to Cincinnati.

Baltimore (11-4)
- clinches AFC North and No. 2 seed with win over Cincinnati and Pittsburgh loss to Cleveland.
- will be the No. 5 seed with loss to Cincinnati or Pittsburgh victory over Cleveland (can't be the No. 6 seed)

- clinches NFC West with win over St. Louis.

- clinches playoff berth with win over Atlanta Monday night or victory over Tampa Bay in Week 17.

Green Bay (9-6)
- clinches wild card berth with win over Chicago.

New York Giants (9-6)
- clinches wild card berth with win over Washington and Green Bay loss to Chicago or New Orleans losses to Atlanta and Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay (9-6)
- clinches wild card berth with win over New Orleans and Green Bay loss to Chicago and New York Giants loss to Washington.
- also can clinch wild card berth if New Orleans loses final two games (Atlanta, Tampa Bay) and either the Packers or Giants lose in Week 17.

The playoffs are close! I don't mind a Colts/Ravens match up in the first round. I doubt those words have ever been spoken since 18 has been in the league.

even if the Steelers beat the Browns and win the AFC North

I think it will work out that the Ravens play the Steelers in the divisional round

Chiefs are coming on and they'll play a good game at home but the Jets will sneak out with a win.

Ravens have had some problems with the Colts in the past but not this year. Better team. Ravens win that.

Setting up Jets-Patriots III and Ravens-Steelers III.

Steelers must lose and Ravens must win for the Ravens to win the North. It's the scenario I am rooting for.

I think NBC gets to choose which game is in primetime Saturday in the wild card round.

At this point I would guess Baltimore at Indianapolis.

I don't like how the Browns had two home games to finish out the season and they lost the first one.

They might be due to win or at least this might be the one where they almost win.

to take that next level

Seattle has dropped five of its last six with the only win coming against Carolina

in those five losses they've been outscored by a combined total of 97-188

after all that, they only need to win one home game to make the playoffs

The race for the 2 seed in the NFC is the most interesting to me.


If the Eagles win out and GB beats the Bears, Philly could get a bye and probably be looking at the Saints or Bears having to play in Philly. Thats a pretty favorable road to the NFC championship.

there are actually three teams in the NFC still alive for home-field advantage

Atlanta just has to beat Carolina

if Carolina beats Atlanta and New Orleans beats Tampa Bay, New Orleans wins the NFC South and is the No. 1 seed

Chicago needs to beat Green Bay and have Carolina beat Atlanta and Tampa Bay beat New Orleans
