I'm just curious to see what Chatterers have been to bowl games and which games you've attended. If you have been to multiple bowls which is your favorite to attend and why?


My family and I have attended one bowl game. We got to see Ohio State get killed by South Carolina in the 2001 Outback Bowl. It was fun, except they experienced record lows in Tampa while reaching near record highs in Ohio the week leading up to the game, and OSU got drilled. This happened to be John Cooper's final game. The game itself was fun thought because it was the most beautiful day while we were there and even though OSU lost, it was still fun being there for a bowl atmosphere.

hopefully i get into the sugarbowl in a week or so. as for now, still shut out on the bowl front.

2003 Sun Bowl: Minnesota vs Oregon
2004 Music City Bowl: Minnesota vs Alabama
2005 Music City Bowl: Minnesota vs Virginia
2006 Insight Bowl: Minnesota vs Texas Tech

As far as bowl experiences, I liked the Music City Bowl best .. I think Nashville is a very fun city and they do a good job with all the stuff surrounding the bowl. Sun Bowl and Insight Bowl were fun as well, but I think Nashville pulled it off best. One thing about the Sun Bowl is, you can go across the border and get some cheap cheap Corona.

99 Sugar Bowl OSU vs. TAMU
98 Gator Bowl UNC vs. VT (was in the luxury box, so I don't remember the game)

I know this means college bowl but:
2005 Super Bowl Pats vs. Eagles (got to go for free)

Since 1989 I have only missed the 2004 Alamo Bowl and the 2006 BCS Title Game. The only reason I missed those Bowls because I was deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. I will again be following the Buckeyes to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.

'97 Marshall-Ole Miss in the Motor City
'98 OSU-aTm in the Sugar (so p.o.'ed that OSU wasn't in the championship game)
'05 TT-Alabama in the Cotton

years are from the year of the season - not after new year's

haven't been but would like to go to a bowl game... why can't they have one in Cincy or Cleveland? I'd go to the Queen City Bowl in Cincy....

2009 Orange Bowl UC vs. VT

Had to miss the 2010 Sugar Bowl.

Next year will hopefully be in New Orleans for a bowl ;) (not the sugar or NO bowl haha)

I was at the 99 Sugar bowl, the 03 Feista bowl and the 04 Alamo bowl.

The 03 Fiesta bowl was magic and it has to be my favorite. San Antonio was beautiful and I would go back just for the Riverwalk if anyone wanted to go. New Orleans was fun too, but that was only a one day trip so I didn't get to see as much as I would have liked.
