You know what I like? Being an American. The only thing more annoying than "world's game" is the people that pretend to give a shit once every 2 or 4 or whatever it is for the world cup. Check that. The most annoying thing are the sports snobs that think they are on some other level because they enjoy the "complexity" of kicking a ball around for 2 hours.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it but facts are facts, soccer is the most popular sport on this planet and always will be. It's not just every 4 years for the World Cup, the leagues in Europe are broadcast world wide, the revenue generated is as much, if not more than any sport in this country. It's big time fans and business.

BTW, plenty of "Americans" love the game too.

lol way to miss my point, it obv went over your head. I was pointing out "always will be" opinion of your "fact". 100 years ago 3 top sports in America were Boxing, Horse Racing and Baseball. Thats changed, just as I bet eventually soccer will cease to be the number one sport in the world. That's my opinion though as I dont parade it around as the gospel truth.

True, the majority of the world is poor but organized soccer originated in the 19th century by educated people in England and was played well before that. It's been around longer than most any other organized sport.

I can kick a soccer ball up and down a field. Most people can. It's why its the worlds game. Both poor and minimally coordinated can play it. Most can't hit an 80 MPH slider.
