Ding ding ding!

I'd mention Lionel Messi for Barcelona, he is also on fire. But yes Sid was my choice. I caught the game last night. Hes easily playing the best hockey of his career...really doing it al.

Its an opinion based arguement trying to compare a hockey player to a snowboarder to a european soccer player. I guess baseball players are out since they're not playing? What about competitive eaters? I mean seriously its dumb. Might as well compare strawberries now to apples from the summer.

I would say in the NFL, Brady, Rivers and Vick are all having MVP type seasons.

NBA you have a few players to debate. LeBron vs. Kobe is always a back and forth deal.

if Crosby doesn't get hurt you could hand him the Hart Trophy now, and it's still the first half of the season

I'm just going by the four major sports, though

if you go beyond that you're opening up a lot, trying to determine what sports to include or what even counts as a sport

Sid is dominating right now, there is no doubt about that.

I'd say its close between him and Messi.

Hmm. Interesting. I'd have to give the edge to the strawberries right now.

The pick of Phelps is actually surprisingly wrong. If this is supposed to be current, for swimming it'd hands down be Lochte. But who knows what Phelps has in store for the Olympics.

Yeah I had team sports in the edit line, but its hard to notice down there. Shoulda made it clear in the thread title.

If you want to go individual, right now I'd say GSP and Pacquiao.
