I just wish people weren't so jealous of the USCs and Floridas and such around here.

No one is jealous of USC and Florida. And if you think the way people post makes them jealous then you are guilty of being jealous of OSU also.

I wish everyone wouldn't get all butthurt over what Pete Carroll did and would worry more about OSU. Seriously, saying stupid comments like "Only classless kids go to USC! Here at OSU we only get the good kids who keep their noses clean because Tressel is such a good person!" is absolutely ridiculous. I do think Tressel is a classier dude than Carroll, but that still hasn't led to OSU being a poster child of team discipline for the NCAA. What happened to that freshman tailback who helped carry OSU to the national championship in 2002?

I just wish people weren't so jealous of the USC's and Florida's and such around here.
Troy Smith, one of my favorite players was kicked out of his 1st HS because he beat the crap out of some guy at a basketball game. He also was suspended for the Oklahoma State game after accepting $500 from a donor

Clarett also borrowed a car from local dealership and was arrested for robbery.

Louis Irrizarry and Ira Guliford were kicked off the team when they beat somebody up and robbed them

Doug Worthington got a DUI in 2008

Antonio Henton got caught with a hooker

Alex Boone was arrested in 2006

....should I keep going....?

The fact is, every school has some goons, and yes even Ohio State can't really say they are the epitome of class.

Ummmm people in central Ohio are definitely jealous of the SEC and USC. I don't know if it has to do with the way the national media portrays them compared to OSU or if its the recent beatings in the spotlight that determine it, but people love to jump at the opportunity to belittle the accomplishments of the SEC teams and USC at any chance they get. And I'm an OSU fan...I'm just also a realist.

Some of this "jealousy" shows whenever somebody from another school does something unsavory. Consider the Florida DE who was arrested for DUI thread, there are already a ton of responses. Or the Pete Carroll thread where people are complaining about his lack of "class" Or 97.1 talk shows where the Common Man and Torg rattle on whenever an SEC player gets in trouble.

And it goes both ways so trep has no reason to say anything.

Every school has incidents like these.

It goes both ways? What goes both ways? I think the only time people in SEC land care about OSU is when they are in another national championship game after running through a weak big ten field.

Why is this such a big deal? UCLA called timeout. If they called time out they felt they could still win and were going to keep playing. USC but an end to those thoughts buy continuing to play as well.

Dunlap is the 25th Florida Gator to be arrested under Urban Meyer's tenure.

Do you want to keep going or agree that every school has problems, so schools more than others.

Hahaha Urban Meyer is certainly a douche. I strongly dislike Florida's football team. The point of bringing up these past incidents involving buckeyes is that people were talking about "Pete Carroll's lack of class attracts a bunch of thugs and how Tressel only recruits classy kids and Ohio State kids would never want to go to USC because of how classless Pete Carroll and his players are". The point is that while Tressel is certainly a classier man than Pete Carroll, Ohio State (as well as USC, Florida, etc.) is certainly no poster child for the NCAA in terms of player discipline. I have to ask...did you even read the thread?

Yes, I read the thread.

I am just pointing out that these incidents happen everywhere, you called out OSU so I called out another elite program with even worse problems.

Then are you just arguing for the sake of arguing at this point? The reason another poster made a list of OSU incidents is because OSU fans were calling out USC for being a classless program. The point of the list of OSU incidents was that this stuff happens everywhere...even OSU.

Everyone knows Florida is a trainwreck in terms of discipline.

The only good thing about USC is the pound on Notre Dame year in and year out.

Lol, I would think Notre Dame fans would be a little more humble considering their "success" over the past decade, but I guess not.

Especially when you consider their "best win" was a loss in the Bush Push game against USC.

Its funny how quickly fans forget what happened in the previous matchup

Classless move by Carrol. 2 more kneel downs and then punt from midfield down inside the 20, UCLA would have had 30 seconds to...with no time outs left....

1. Go 80 yards
2. Recover an onside kick
3. Go another 60 yards to score again.

And all this with a 3rd string quarterback that played like shit the whole game.

Had the point spread been 15 instead of 13, the NCAA would have opened an investigation.

Pete proved to me...he's a dick.

I have said numerous times OSU has had more success as a program over the last decade than Notre Dame has. ncf posted his typical ND trash, I was kindly reminding him that USC "pounded" his and your beloved buckeyes in the 2 games they played recently.
