There is a little story on Rotoworld citing 2 different reports.

One says Vince Carter and Marcin Gortat will go to Washington and the other says Rashard Lewis will go to Washington.

I love watching Arenas play when he actually gives a shit. This could be a pretty good move for the Magic.

I don't see where either of those trades make sense for Orlando.

Getting rid of Vince Carter would be addition by subtraction. Adding Gilbert Arenas would be subtraction by addition.

I don't know why any serious contender would want Arenas. He's overrated (pretty much useless without the ball in his hands), has a significant injury history, and is a chemistry killer.

Go ahead, make the trade. A shitty trade for both teams. But I could see that opening a back door for Orlando to sign somebody huge in the next season or two.

Yeah, getting rid of Vince is like bringing in another superstar...cannot stand him.

So it looks like Rashard for Arenas is happening, with Carter, Pietrus, Gortat, and a 1st rounder going to Phoenix to bring in J-Rich, Earl Clark, and to bring back Hedo.

They're going to be a completely different team. Guess the team took Howard's complaint about the wings not playing any D to heart. Although J-Rich isn't going to solve that problem any.

Orlando getting Hedo back was big.

I wonder who Orlando starts now..

PG- Jameer Nelson
SG- Gilbert Arenas
SF- Jason Richardson
PF- Hedo Turkoglu
C- Dwight Howard

If you're Dwight this is a the perfect lineup for you. Slashers, shooters and guys that don't need to be lock down defenders since you can defend the rim.

That lineup could contend with the Heat and Celtics

I agree if he plays like he did when he was there before. I don't like Lewis for Arenas though.

So... who is going to back up Dwight now? Ryan Anderson?

Just curious.. but why not?

You traded a soft big man who can only shoot 3s.. can't rebound, can't pass, can't defend, and he's shooting poorly this year.

Didn't know he was still in the league. Thought he was playing in Europe.

I think Daniel Orton from Kentucky was third string. He hasn't played a minute all year though.

I don't respect Turkoglu at all any more. He's washed up. If he had anything left, he would still be in Phoenix. If you struggle with them, then I have hard time succeeding anywhere.

Not a fan of him playing the 4 either.

Their GM just went all in though. I think both sides realize they screwed up a few years ago when they divorced

Arenas could go down at any moment.

+1..The only thing they have going for them by doing the trade this early is time to mesh, time to pull another deal involving any of the players traded today, time for Hedo to get in shape.

IMO, they should trade Nelson if Arenas does well and get a backup center out of it. Ryan Anderson won't cut it. No 6-10 backup center should average 3.8 rebounds over 3 years.
