There is a meltdown of epic proportions over on the Pitt board. They want Haywood fired, they want their AD Steve Pederson fired, and they want it done immediately.

Incidentally, Steve Pederson was the same guy who fired Frank Solich at Nebraska after a 9 win season and replaced him with Bill Callahan. Callahan set the Huskers back years.

Yeah, Pederson destroyed Nebraska. Not only did he fire Solich, he replaced him with Callahan, removed all plaques, pictures, tradition hanging on walls around the athletic offices/complex because he wanted to build his own empire -- one not under the shadows of the past. Can you imagine removing framed posters of guys like Bob Devany, Tom Osborne, heisman winners, all-americans, and not allowing these former players to visit the complex or sidelines during games as they have in the past? Well, he did that.

Pederson will fuck up anywhere he goes. I can see why pitt fans want him gone.

I'll bet they've already got a lawyer working on finding them a way out of it.

Bad news is, Miami has hired Don Treadwell as their new head coach. Looks like he won't have a place to go

Not like Miami would want him back after this.

At least they know that neither he nor any of his players has ever hit anyone. :)
