Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Buckeye fans everywhere. While we will be enjoying a 6th straight BCS bowl appearance, 6th straight Big 10 title, and a future that looks bright as ever, we pass along our condolences for the sorry state of affairs you all find yourselves in:

1) coming off mediocre 7-5 seasons (Florida, Miami), or disastrous 5-7 no-bowl-appearance season (Texas)

2) coaching regime-change (Florida, Miami), or loss of D-coordinator (Texas)

3) the ever-stagnant, dismal, lack of excellence that accompanies all athletic programs not named The Ohio State

However, don't despair- the future needn't be so terrifying. For the miniscule exchange of one year away from D-1 football, you guys can right the ship and transfer to OSU. Again, Happy Holidays to all three of you. ;)

Don't get me wrong, I like seeing these guys sweat over their choices, but at the same time... winning the Sugar Bowl doesn't exactly mean anything. Sure it helps the university and conference get some coin, but to everybody else this is an exhibition game.

Until we win something that actually means something (I will give you the Big 10 championship), a bowl game is just another bowl game unless you are talking about the National Championship.

seriously, how lame can you be to get on every osu thread and knock it? Whoever you root for, go to that thread and talk about your team. Not to mention he is right, going to texas, at the present time, was the wrong choice at least for this year.

If a recruit that ND wanted ended up going to osu or somewhere else, adn ND went 10-1 and were in the BCS and OSU went 5-7 and didn't make a bowl, you can best believe that all you nd fans would be doing the same thing. I don't see how people get this upset over these things, it's comical

I don't want em unless they want tOSU. So for now I could care less. If they change their mind I would happily take them at OSU. However I don't think they need bashed for their decisions, they are young kids and have a lot at stake and on their plates when they make their decisions.

I wouldn't. They are 18 year old kids, if they choose to play for someone other than ND, I'm not going to wish bad upon them, unless they are playing against Notre Dame.

What other OSU threads have I knocked? I root for OSU.

So Hicks made the wrong decision? You are able to determine that for him? That's such an ignorant statement it's not really worth discussing. So, you know that he's unhappy and regrets his decision?

This thread is ridiculous. Grow up guys, not everyone wants to play at OSU. There isn't a single college that can get every recruit it truly wants. Maybe they wanted warmer weather like say in... Texas, Miami, and Gainesville??

I'm not saying he regrets his decision in the least, in fact I bet the texas pussy is 10000 times better than columbus pussy. But from a football stand point, for this year, going to OSU would've been the better call
