How did that work out for him?

Also, I don't get why people think TP could play receiver in the NFL. I absolutely don't think he can. He doesn't have the hips and lateral movement for it. Unless he runs a streak everytime.

I supposed if vball sees this he'll think I'm trolling.

^^^no, but it's good to see I've made you aware of it.

It's also comforting to know that we have a true evaluator of what an athlete can or can't do at the next level, right here on the Chatter-thanks, Webbie

by the way, that's sarcasm, NOT trolling

At least he should be wealthy. The number of pro athletes who end up with nothing is amazing.

Newton is actually a pretty good thrower of the ball. Don't be misled into thinking he can only run the ball, he has a strong arm and has a really nice release.

I think sCAM will struggle mentally in the NFL...it will be hard for him to accept he is making less money in the pros.

Pretty sure David Tyree's catch occurred in an NFL game, which makes him an NFL wr LOL.

vball will be impressed that you are a true evaluator of what an athlete can do, just like me. And we are right here on OC!

I completely agree with Web, I don't see any way that Pryor is able to play WR at the next level. His hips are just not good enough.

I'll go against the grain here and say Newton will make it as a QB. Time will tell, he can throw all types of passes and can run, if needed. I'd say he's better at all those things than C Palmer is right now and probably better at reading defenses too. lol

sorry i should have worded it better.obviously he is an nfl player, but he will be released and bounce around from team to team every year while seeing only limited playing time. I am talking about actually having a consistent career.

The key to being a good NFL QB is the mental aspect of the game, mainly reading defenses, both pre-snap and post-snap. I think this is where Newton really will struggle. Hundreds of QB's have come into the league w/ strong, accurate arms, however, if you don't know where to go with the ball, that arm isn't much help.

The thread question was will he be a starter, not will he be a hall of fame player. He will start a game for someone.
