Mooney44Cards and Spread All Day most will not understand where you are coming from regarding Mooney44Cards statement. The kid was given a choice and an opportunity to leave the "hood", back in Campbell. But low and behold he apparently never left it which became evident in his actions.

I know the private faithful will not like this thought but... I wonder if it was going on while at Mooney too. I mean if he is a product of his upbringing in Campbell are we to believe he stopped while at Mooney and started again at Iowa? Makes one wonder.

Not to get into the "fight": I remember well D.Johnson. The kid was one of the fastest HS QB's that I've ever seen. He got hurt the 2nd time that year (knee) in the playoffs against Bellaire. Personally, I don't think he should have played that week to begin with. It really was just too soon. I remember thinking that I couldn't believe the coach let him in and that if he was to put him in, should have passed instead of running it. BUT, hindsight is 20/20 I guess.
That was the year that they made Bellaire fans sit (well actually move) over to the visitors side. What a fiasco that was!

There is a thread on this in the College Football forum. It has nothing to do with HS football, and there are plenty of other threads to have the public vs. private debate.
