Some of you still thought they'd get beat by S.Car.

Auburn has actually faced some legit defenses and has a decent defense. Yes, Oregon will get dialed. Just as Ohio State exposed Oregon last season in the Rose Bowl, Auburn will expose Oregon in the NCG this season.

Auburn and Oregon have both been wildly inconsistent at times.
I think Auburn will win it in the trenches. Oregon won't get much up the middle, and the speed on the edges will be comparable. Personally I don't know why Oregon State ran as much man coverage as they did, Oregon would run a slant with their wide receiver and an quick out with their slot and the pick made it open every time. Auburn isn't stupid and will shut it down.
Auburn wins because of Fairley in my opinion.

Do people think Oregon will get blown away bc this is an Ohio board and the buckeyes beat them last year? Seems like OSU fans have been hatin on Oregon alllllll season long

I think it has to do with the fact that Oregon has looked impressive on offense, but the defense is avg. and they have played against some shit competition (save Stanford). They win in scoring contests. They will be facing an equal offense and won't be able to win in a scoring contest. Defense will determine the outcome and Auburn has the better defense. I don't know about a blowout, but it will be convincing.
I actually would like to see Oregon win. Since OSU did beat them the year before and also so the SEC bandwagoners can shut their fucking mouthes!

I don't hate Oregon just think they get slaughtered. For the record I will say that last years Oregon team was better than this years.

No.
If the game was Saturday maybe. But, the long layoff helps defense and will let the offenses rust.
I see a "low scoring" game. Something like 28-24. But, I see both defenses playing well enough to keep it close.
Often times games we think are high scoring do not turn out to be.

Yeah Oregon's defense is average I agree with that. But Auburn gives up 360 yards a game on D and 25 points so its not like their defense is stout.dwccrew;589039 wrote:I think it has to do with the fact that Oregon has looked impressive on offense, but the defense is avg. and they have played against some shit competition (save Stanford). I will root hard for Oregon, but they aren't as good as Auburn.

I would love to see Auburn win, but I am not sure they can keep Oregon off the scoreboard often enough.

If Auburn can stop Oregon's running game then the Ducks will be in for a looong night. After watching the Oreg-Oreg State game, their QB is horribly accurate and makes Masoli look like Peyton Manning.

28 tds and 7 picks with a 60% completion rate...

In a conference where playing actual defense is sacrilege....

So was that the only Oregon game you watched? Because Thomas can definitely sling it, I think hes actually a better passer than Masoli.....but not as good of a runner.
I'm not sure who I'm pulling for. I really like Oregon's offense, yet I'm also pulling for Chizik to win it all and give a big "F U" to the previous doubters.
BUT then if Auburn wins then you will have the SEC nut swingers act like they saw that coming the whole time and live through the Tigers success.

If hes horribly accurate hed miss those Wr's, defense or not is my point.
you dont pass for 28 tds and 60% being horribly accurate idc who you're playing

Their QB is horribly undersized and reminds me of Robinson at Michigan. Only useful to throw the ball 10 yards, after that it's a jumpball. Basically a safety at QB.

Auburns d has been burnt over and over. They aren't a very good d. Add that in with the high tempo offense of Oregon and I see Oregon coming out on top.

I disagree. I think this could be a very good/exciting and obviously a high scoring game. Neither defense is that good. Auburn has a good Dline...but with Oregon offense running quite a few 3 step drops at QB, it could negate Auburn getting any kind of pressure on the QB. And the Auburn pass defense just isn't that good. Oregon will score some poitns in this game, I have no doubt about that. As will Auburn. I think we will see a 45-38 kind of game. If I was forced to pick a winner right now...I'd have to go with Auburn just because of Newton.
As for Oregon "only" good win against Stanford. You maybe right....BUt Stanford is pretty damn good and Oregon BLASTED them 52-31!!!

It should be a high scoring game as these two teams are the poorest defensive teams that I've seen in the National Championship game ever. Oregon has great speed but Auburn has great LUCK and seems to be the team of destiny this season. I hope Oregon can win this game but to do so they must be able to consistantly tackle Cam Newton (something that is very difficult to do) and with their not so good defense probably impossible. Because I hate the SEC I'll pick Oregon 45-42 buit if I let common sense prevail I'd say Auburn wins 49-28.

Neither play good defense and both play great offense. I don't think either is going to get blown out. I do say Auburn by 10 or so though.
