I don't have to work Christmas Day or Christmas Eve, but like FFT I usually put a hour or two in on the laptop at home during the day. For some reason, clients like to have their health care benefits ready to go on January 1. :)

Usually do. But this year I'm on call. I don't have to come to the office but have to stay close and sober. I have two days off for new years though

So much for the myth of 'Banker's hours'.....

banks are getting screwed this year because of regulations that they cannot be closed 3 days in a row, so they are not observing christmas on friday or monday.

We are open everyday of the year, but we are closed on Christmas and close at 8 PM on Christmas Eve.

I am definitely thankful to have the job I do, the schedule I do, etc (I worked every weekend and most holidays last year at a different job) but it's still kind of a bummer. No time off to see family that's out of town or anything.

And yes I know I should just be happy I have a job at all, blah blah blah.

Yes, time off around Christmas and New Year's.
