We put up and decorated our main tree and my wife put out all of our indoor decorations. I put together our second tree upstairs in my office but have yet to decorate it. I am also putting off the outdoor lights until this weekend.

Anyone put up decorations before Thanksgiving? If you did you will be bant.

Yeah, we put up our outside lights when it was 70 degrees the Sunday before Thanksgiving...but REFUSE to turn on until after Thanksgiving.....my wife tore up the house decorating and my kids pretty much put of the Christmas tree themselves.

We are set.

There was someone in my in-laws neighborhood that had their tree up before Halloween. I almost set fire to their house.

There are 2 houses, side by side on my way to work, that have had their lights, decorations, trees, etc UP and ON since the week before Halloween. Every night on the way home I want to stop and knock on the door and punch them in the face.

I'm ok with people putting lights up(like you I92) early, when the weather is nice. But it's the people who TURN THEM ON that really irritate me.

We get our tree the Friday after Thanksgiving every year. The decorate it Sunday night with the whole family. Lights usually go up sometime during the week when its not raining and I have a day off. Will be tomorrow if the rain holds off.

My wife decorated this past weekend while I sat my ass on the couch watching football.

We will get our live tree in a couple of weeks. We do one artificial and one live tree.

Inside: No. Decorations will go up probably next week, we do a real tree and we'll get it around the 10th-11th.
Outside: I put up the lights today.

Last year I went back to school before they took the decorations down, they left the lights up and 20 inches of snow brought the lights and gutter crashing to the ground the first weekend in Feb. to help their lazy asses out.

put the christmas tree up the day after thanksgiving, then decorated it two days after.

Put up the light tree things in the yard on Saturday along w/ the garland w/ the lights built into it that goes around the front door and the little string of lights that goes around the garage. I remember when my dad used to get up on the roof to put the lights up. I'm happy we don't do that anymore. Kind of a dangerous situation, and the toned down version seems a little bit more homier to me anyways

I still have the snowman hot chocolate mugs sitting on the bureau shelf from last year! They looked a little silly over the summer. Rule of the house is no decorations until after my birthday, which means this year things can get started this Saturday (unless they're still out from last year!).

Nope. I'm thinking we'll start this weekend or early next week. It takes us 2 full days to put the tree up because we have so many ornaments. We also get a real tree with a bulb and we plant it in the yard afterwards.
