Shannon should have been fired during the commercial break between the 4th qtr and OT

Oh Shannon will be fired, his team just gives up on him. I thought he was a horrible hire 4 years ago and he hasn't done shit since he got there.

Yup he is gone. Wasn't Greg Schiano one of the other guys they were eyeballing? They might have dodged a bullet there too. Who do they hire?

Man...The "U" really underachieved this year considering all the preseason hype they had. I dont really understand not starting Harris these past few games though..

I remember I was saying how bad Miami sucks and that it wasn't a good win for Ohio State and somebody reminded me that Harris had not been playing. I told them that I was aware and that I thought his injury was addition by subtraction. Dude has a propensity to throw it to the wrong team. He's not good. Not sure why Gameday filmed a segment with him and Pryor together earlier this season

They're not going to fire Randy. They just signed him to a big extension.

Yes he was wanted for the job. I don't know who they hire, I've heard a bunch of names thrown out but until he's fired who knows. They better not keep him for another year. He has one of the most talented teams in the country yet loses to Virginia and USF, gets crushed at home to Florida State. He throws his players under the bus and makes more excuses than anyone.

haha im not saying he is good..but yea he was overrated by the media starting with the nice win against GT last year. But someone was pointing out on here a week or so ago that his td:int ratio is still better than the backups

What is it with South Florida and their teams? With the exception of the Dolphins and the Heat (some of the time), the Miami generally doesn't support their teams?

East coast version of LA, too many other distractions. I don't think the Dolphins have that great of a fanbase. They fill up the stadium for the Jets or Patriots, but struggle for any other team. UM though takes it to the proverbial next level. Relatively small school, many students are from out of state, and many graduates don't hang around = lousy alumni support. Makes Jimmy Johnson and Butch Davis' accomplishments that much more impressive.

QFT. The President of the U loves Shannon. Guys are graduating and staying out of jail. As long as that keeps up, she won't fire him.

The people down there won't spend their money to see a mediocre team. The canes attendance is directly proportional to their wins and losses............they win most of the time, most of the seats are full, they suck, so does attendance.

If Miami is just going to elevate their offensive coordinator to the head coach position they shouldn't bother giving Shannon the boot...
imo they should look for a successful head coach from a mid-major conference or lower division school..................unless they like promoting coordinators and firing them 4-6 years later.

It should still exist (unless it got really out of hand), but it's probably locked.

They were graduating and staying out of jail long before Randy. Miami has always been one of the best academic football teams in the country dating back to the 80's and 90's

This isn't Columbus there's a million other things to do in Miami. Plus the U is a private school with a football stadium far from campus.

Huge Miami fan. Disagree completely. The Dennis Erickson era teams were a joke in the classroom and in the community. They didn't start staying out of jail and going to class until Butch Davis got rid of that element.

That said, Donna Shalala loves Randy. She'll keep him.

If he leaves on his own, watch for Miami alum Mark Richt as his replacement. And Richt will start Stephen Morris at QB.

Donna likes Randy so it'll be another year. Mario Christobal just won to put FIU into a bowl with at least a share of the Sunbelt Conf. He is a natural choice.
